Not trying to be racist but I’m sure you’re correct. Mandarin is a difficult language to learn and there’s lots of Chinese Americans that grew up with mandarin speaking parents that don’t speak fluently. For anyone to speak mandarin at that level without any real immersion or an apparent justifiable reason other than hobby is extremely impressive in my opinion. I’d like to know how he learned.

Man, you're a legend... I wish I had the brains to be multilingual like you, not to mention humble too. Furthermore, it's clear from the people in your videos that you really know just how to put a smile on people's faces simply by communicating with them in their native languages, and judging from their reactions, the pleasure that brings them is something special, maybe even nostalgic to them (in terms of their birthplace and/or upbringing). I have a huge amount of respect for you, and I wish you all the best on your journeys in the future.

omg at the end i knew she wanted to cry because that sense of not belonging anywhere just hit her hard. esp when her english is not that good and then a guy suddenly reminds her of home by speaking her native language. 😭 hope she's doing great now ❤️

Cool Video :) She was just saying that basically, there an underground market that tries to pass off lower materials as Jade. It's all over the place. You know Fake jewelry. So that's why you might of gotten a good deal on it, or your friend did. Usually, in Chinese culture the longer that jade bracelets been a family heirloom, it's pretty much priceless. Since Chinese culture also emphasizes on ancestral worship. Ancestral worship is big in Japan too. But new real deal jade can cost a good amount of money today if you buy a brand new one, that's all polished and shit. I'm pretty sure you know this anyway laoshu505000, just thought the fans might have misunderstood the main conversation. Your Mandarin is great. Not super fluent native because I noticed you two were getting a bit confused in the conversation. And plus you weren't born there and haven't spent a min of 10 years living and speaking Mandarin in China. But go visit more. That countries way huge. Mainly the country side and mountains.

Living in Australia, you see so many cultures in one spot. I work in a coffee shop in a shopping centre, previously run by a Chinese man, now owned by a Korean woman, and today an Indian girl came to apply because she was on a student visa to practice English. I’ve just started considering today getting my certificate to teach English as a second language here because goodness the possibilities are endless. In such a culture rich country, it’s so fascinating to hear so many different languages everyday
