I'm A New Zealander staying in Khanom, I can hear a little bit of a Kiwi accent with some words. I hope New Zealand treated you well, because the Thai people here are so friendly. Come and do a show in Khanom🤗

You are one of the few Thai KZbinrs who speaks exceptionally fluent English. This fluency might stem from your time studying in New Zealand, where being immersed in an English-speaking environment undoubtedly enhanced and strengthened your language skills. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed watching your youtube and truly appreciate the effort you put into creating them. Please keep up the fantastic work!🥰

I watch Thai talk shows on KZbin with English subtitles to improve my Thai. I also pause the video whenever I hear a Thai word I don't know and write it down in my vocabulary notebook. I am currently learning to read Thai and can read at a basic level.

Whenever speaking Thai language with Thai people no matter at whatever language level you are so, you will be awarded with their smile and appreciation. That’s my lovely experience.

Amazing Opal! I think 3 of the most important criteria...which you have mentioned is probably the most important....do not worry of making mistakes, do not worry so much about and keep talking with English speakers. Keep up with your great vlogs.

Not being afraid to make mistakes is huge. It can be an extremely humbling experience but its one of the best ways to learn, only through our mistakes can we improve and build confidence, you just have to care less what people think and go for it. I have major respect for anyone who learns a new language! I must say I have to completely disagree with the learning apps, there truely is no shortcut, anyone who is this proficient in English has dedicated a serious ammount of time, and I suspect, waaay before apps even existed!

Hat off to you for having mastered English! I acquired a second language luckily early in life and managed some low-level proficiency for two others. I agree with all you had mentioned in particular that language acquisition has to be combined with fun. Prescriptive grammar or linguistics help but are absolutely dire and tormenting. I hope I can learn Thai half as well as you have English.

Hi I’m from Japan and I’ve been learning English from your videos for years and looking forward to seeing delicious Thai fooooood😂
watching and listening are always the best ways to learn another languages. I also learn Thai by myself just by watching everything, both entertaining videos and tutorial videos. Studying and having fun at the same time are the great experience in learning new language
I've just started watching your videos, actually I'm from México and learning English so I decided to improve my English with your videos. Saludos 🥰 y sigue haciendo tan buenos videos
The first time I watched one of your videos I thought you might be from Singapore. Your accent is like 85% Singapore 15% Thai. But overall your pronunciation is excellent. The main give away that you're not a native English speaker is tiny little details like missing a "s" on plural nouns. Anyway Ive been learning Thai for a few years and wish it was as good as your English. Keep up the good work.
@CaptainKremmenАй бұрын
Yes! That accent is very much like Singaporean, but without the Singlish extras, like "-la". The other give away that she's not a native speaker is phrases like "no chance to meeting", which should be "no chance of meeting".

I’m Thai/American and have been learning to speak Thai. Unfortunately- Thai dramas are hard to watch bc the acting is so bad. If you have any recos I’d appreciate it. I think your videos are fun. Keep up the good work!

English doesn't require native speakers. Many Chinese people learn and practice their English by speaking to Thai people.

Sawadee kha, Opal❤ can you tell me, please, if the Ai app Elsa can teach English speakers to speak Thai? I like your content! I subscribed a long time ago. You inspire me to not give up on Thai language!

Is there an AI app for English speakers learning Thai you recommend?
4:14 I really like your video but, as you said, you sometimes make mistakes. This one sounds really funny. That should be "diary", not "dairy". A dairy is a place that milks cows and makes milk products.
