Beautiful as always! Thank you for sharing. I live in the Midwest USA and have a 1st year garden. I have a long way to go but am enjoying it. I am trying to stay organic…we have so so many pests here so it is a tad frustrating. But, to see the bees and butterflies joyously flying about is so fulfilling.

The delphiniums are very tall, you would like echium pininana, a really tall plant I saw in a public garden recently! The ceanothus is massive and flowering brilliantly, like a big wall of blue, I am sure when its sunny you can get large numbers of bees on it at once!

It’s just the name That changes, which could be male or female (e.g) a female’s name could be Joey short for Josephine or Jordan, Taylor, still the owner of such names remains a female. In short you are correct about your rose Rambler Rector as female. I hope this makes sense to you. Thank you for sharing your garden with us.

Have you tried dickson-roses in Northern Ireland they have lovely roses there's a lovely one called its a wonderful life I bought bare root in autumn and its a beauty now.

I grew delphiniums from seed this year , planted them out and there no where to be seen . I think slugs eat them . I had larkspur pop up but the foliage is like cosmos , fine . Welcome any tips . I have an addiction to roses 🌹 aren’t they divine.

If it's not too bad just pick the leaves off when you spot it and throw the leaves in the rubbish bin. Remove any dead leaves under the plant then chuck a thick layer of compost or mulch under the plant to stop spores reinfecting. If it's a particularly diseasy rose that you can't treat no spray I'd perhaps suggest potting it up and treating it inside away from any wildlife. I've had to do that for one rose I was given from a garden centre but the rest I've managed no spray.
