My godfather's a real knife guy, and years back you got me into the Benchmade balisongs. He asked me what I wanted for my birthday and even though they're illegal where I live I thought it wouldn't hurt to try... Weeks passed and there it was, sitting on his table: a brand new model 51 with the black blade. I flipped it so much it lost a screw. (kinda looks more like the owner now :p) Now I own a couple of high end knives, but nothing will ever beat that one. I was flipping it like a pro watching your video, thinking how happy I am that I came to your channel all those years ago. Thanks, man.

The balisong (Both the knife and the name) originated in batangas, philippines. What started in france is the Pied Du Roi which is a measurement tool with a blade that similarly has foldable mechanisms going on. But I wouldn't consider this as france being the origin of the Balisong/butterfly knife as the tool varied in folding mechanism (some similar to a balisong, some not) along with its main purpose as a measurement tool, whereas the philippines coined the name Balisong and designed it as purely a cutting tool and weapon.

@cutlerylover4 жыл бұрын
it was in fact a Kirss balisong but ive read a few tiems that it was debunked to be an older benchmade and more likely a cheap model used as a prop for the movie...or even possible custom model made for the scene...

CCC balusongs about took my eye out as a kid lmao I got 2 for 20 each at a flea market the first I thought was brass so I thought I got a deal but within ten minutes it broke and I notice it was pot metal and I had a blue one like yo u showed that almost took my eye out not to long down the road but heck it taught me how to flip and just because it almost took my eye out didn’t mean I stopped buying them lol but eventually many of CCC Bali’s later I spent 200 or 300 and got something of quality that I could flip without issue thanks for showing this I am going to try and find my Bali’s that I may still have and start flipping again!!!!!!❤️

can you correct me if im wrong, are this or are there not illegal to carry in PA?
@undergroundexplorer83784 жыл бұрын
Balisongs are 100% legal to carry in PA. See Commonwealth v. Miles. www.leagle.com/decision/1989747padampc4th67162 "We did not find the "butterfly" knife to be a prohibited offensive weapon."
@undergroundexplorer83784 жыл бұрын
While balis are legal to carry in PA, be cautious of certain jurisdictions like Philadelphia. You can't carry ANY knife at all in the city unless it's specifically being used as part of your job.

Balisongs, while I don’t have any right now, they have been around since the Wild West was going on and were actually used in the world wars. so if anyone ever says balisongs are not a viable weapon tell them look at the history books. It may not be my first choice and there is deff a skill gap to use in combat but these knives have been in wars and I’m sure even if it’s not documented that they probably have killed people.
