I think you should plant the canna lilies in more sun for better flowering. Nice garden!

I made that vid last year, everything came back that you see in this video. All the subtropical plants I chose come back from the roots as long as the ground doesn’t full on freeze. I may make an update

How clever of you to cut off and put the sensitive plants in water to keep the freeze from getting them! 👍 You've done an amazing job with your garden!

You’ve done an amazing job. Everything looks lovely. We’re experiencing a freeze now with below normal temps. I’m worried about my plants but don’t have as many as you. Fingers crossed everything survives for you.

Nice work! I’d like to come by and see it as I’m in Houston myself. My yard is a work in progress. Don’t forget to cut back your tropical milkweed before it gets cold outside or the monarch’s will stay here too long instead of migrating sour and die from the cold.

Good looking out! I shot a maintenance vid where I did that. Just need to sit down and edit it. The freeze will knock it back too

Came out nice! whatever happened to that 40$ 'discounted' crape myrtle from the last video? The one thing about a plant addiction is that it takes such a long time, at least for some of the develop to that they're showy, but it's nice seeing the change from putting them into the ground and slowly growing.

I'd love to see what kinds of Palms grow in your area. U had the sabal Minor, abd I could see a Washingtonia in the background.

Paul, I think you should do some of the cold hardy citrus there ia a bundle from One Green World. I love your videos and I don't want you to give up on it. Ypu helped inspire me to do a garden. Citrus pots that you bring in during freezes would be great as well. Cover your subtropicals if you can!!!

@@paulplantu you're welcome. Btw I love your use of native plants in your landscaping. You actually inspired me to use more natives in my own. I've had my property for a few years and I've been working hard to create a little piece of paradise for myself and the pollinators. I've got over 50 fruit trees planted as well as vegetable gardens and beautiful flowers planted everywhere. Keep up the great content and keep inspiring my friend. 😉
