ASHLEY! I would love to see a video about your favorite substrates & vessels- like why you prefer to use plastic bottles w/ or w/o drainage- growing plants in moss vs perlite or pon- and info about how to feed plants that live in moss or perlite or how long you can leave it in non soil. Hope that makes sense. How is a plant not overwatered when it lives in a plastic bottle? How does it get food when it’s in just perlite? Fantastic collection!
@PlantingAshley3 жыл бұрын
Awe i love that u think i think about all that 🤣😭 i use them because theyre cheap and i like to recycle, and ive noticed that the roots really like the grooves in the water bottles!

Girl for you syngonium, Idk if you do lecca but EVERY syngonium in my collection is in lecca & it’s made them so easy to care for because I used to suck at taking care of them! I know you told me before you struggle with them & seriously lecca saved them for me OR even growing them in water!!!! Maybe that will help bevause I literally used to kill every single one before I grew them hydrophobicly lol

You have a lot of nice orchids, hoyas & other plants. I think you have so much going on & you need to repot some of them with drainage holes instead of those cups without holes & maybe put them outside for a little sunlight. They will strive better if they are not so jammed up together. Great going

I know this is off topic. But you had visited a new houseplant store in or near Phoenix. It was a brand spanking new store huge humidifier in the middle, and it seemed like the owner had opened it up just for you guys to explore. It was owned by a guy and had a cute little “wet boxes” that had begonias in them. And I think your husband actually picked out a plant from there? Wow. I know this is really vague… and you probably have visited many houseplant stores in Phoenix, but on the off chance you know what I am talking about… do you remember the name of that store?

I loved this! So many good plants. I added a few to my wishlist. I was wondering how you kept up with all the names then at the very end when you said snake plant for spider plant and Philodendron Rio for the Philodendron Brasil, I was like yeah that would so be me trying to do all these names. 😆 You have a beautiful collection! 🤩

I’ve noticed Begonia sinbad likes high humidity and no water on it’s leaves. It’s a little harder than the waxy cane begonias.
