Thank you for the kind words. I’ve been making videos for a year and half and never imagined anyone would watch let alone take an interest in the movies I like. Glad you enjoyed.

Wow...fantastic collection! My Kino-Lorber shelves are beginning to overflow because they're releasing so many good titles. Several of the ones you show here I haven't seen, and some I'm not familiar with at all. I'm happy to see you have Driftwood. Last year I read a biography of Natalie Wood and decided to send away for as many of her films as I could find, especially her films as a child actress. Driftwood is quite good, and the only film, to my knowledge, where she is the star, even playing the title roll. In her other childhood films, she's a supporting player. She was a very gifted actress from her earliest days and was able to excel as a teenager and as an adult, which many child actors/actresses have difficulty doing. I saw the Jack Lemmon remake of The Front Page when it first came out and just now saw the original film for the first time. I wasn't all that crazy about it, which really surprised me, because I usually enjoy those 1930s newspaper flicks. This one just seemed like a group of people shouting at each other, causing lots of tension. Maybe a second watch will give me a different opinion. I would love to see The Reivers. I remember when the novel Candy came out, and it was notorious. Everyone was talking about it and passing it around! The film was so outrageous, it was almost too much. Marlon Brando was a trip. I agree with you about Comedy of Terrors and Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid! I picked up a copy of The Strange Door, but haven't watched it yet.

First I would like to say thank you for watching and leaving a very thoughtful comment. With the many films I’ve seen it’s a joy to find some I’ve never heard of. I understand that I’m a different breed my wife jokes that I was born in the wrong era. I’ll take a wonderful black & white film over a modern day blockbuster any day, but knowing other people enjoy movies as much as I do has been a wonderful experience. Natalie Wood absolutely wonderful haven’t come close to watching her entire body of work but loved all the ones I have. I can see the Noise aspect of Front Page, but it works for me growing up watching Clue and Oscar it had a similar vibe and I really enjoy both Lemmon and Matthau very much just something when they are together is movie magic.

Maybe I missed it but I didn't see "The Raven" (1963) with Vincent Price, Boris Karloff, and Peter Lorre. Seems like it would go along well with your other Vincent Price stuff. Appears to be OOP from KL though.

You didn’t miss it I did and and it’s OOP. I’ve had my my eye on the UK Arrow Video Just recently picked up a region free blu-ray player that’s all that was holding me back. It’s on the list for sure.

That’s a really fun collection and a good variety of titles. I have some of those on dvd but you certainly have a larger Kino collection than mine, the sales here on them aren’t great. Quite a few titles that really didn’t set the box office on fire/had bad reviews on release but they would all pretty much be fun to revisit now. Likewise am a James Garner fan and saw those two Support movies several times when younger. When you say you love everything ape, have you seen The Mighty Peking Man? It’s on one of the Shawscope sets and I really find it a lot of fun, particularly for its use of miniature sets. Great video and collection, thanks for sharing

I agree with you so many movies that failed at the box office are wonderful at home. I have not definitely have to give that one a watch, never picked up any of the Shawscope sets. Thanks for the recommendation and as always giving it a watch.

@@80sMadeConsumer The Shawscope sets are an expensive commitment but I was initially able to watch Mighty Peking Man on KZbin, maybe it has gone now. You may be able to find it as a separate blu ray. It also features a stunning actress designed to be like Sheena Queen of the Jungle. All very silly and goofy but fun.
