That looks like a solid 90% bag, and the big box holds the 10% of tools that would prevent you from either starting or completing a project. Great video!

Idk why they even still make Phillips and slotted screws anymore torxs and Robertson are far superior

Probably the same reason why we still use imperial instead of metric like the rest of the world. No one wants to change because they already have something that works for them. Who wants to buy a whole new set of bits when they already have what they will ever need.
@andrewdominowski4631

@@wild_lee_coyote a new bit set is cheap. The reason is that the tooling for simple designs like Phillips are cheaper to produce. You wanna drywall using the torx price? Ouch

Great video, I went with an electrician's bag because they are square and a bit smaller overall, keeping the weight down. I maintain rental properties so I have to cover appliances, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, etc. so versatility is the key.

For studs just get a magnetic one. Or even a rare earth magnet and a piece of tape to make a little handle and keep it from scraping the wall. Haven't used an electric one in over a decade now. Find a couple screws and knock the drywall by hand to double check.

I recently got a dewalt stud finder haven’t tried it yet. But for work I’ve been using an old zircon stud finder. It’s been beaten beyond belief and sometimes needs to be turned off and on repeatedly but still works well. Had it now for almost 10 years.

Hi there! I’m a little late to the party 😄😄 The only thing I can suggest that you really need is a magnetic stud finder on a chain which is much more efficient than one of those battery stud finders. It sticks to the screws or nails on a wall. Plenty of uses too as you can use it to retrieve bolts, nuts, screws, etc. and the little chain is 16” long which helps you find studs. Other then that you have a very nice set up

I just started recently now becoming a carpenter, I plan to buy this bag in a few weeks, I know it will help keep me more better organized for projects and job sites during the week of work, I can’t wait to get it soon. I’m just worried no one will steal it from me when I have on job sites and other people are around , so that’s a worry for me, because the tool bag cost more money and is nice.

Hi, just watching your video just stopped at the stud finder bit, I’m a carpenter and if you want a stud finder that works every time just buy a £5 magnet with a carabiner attached to it, clip that to you tool belt and you will never miss a stud again. Not my trick I learnt it from a KZbin video probably 7 years ago but works every time

Sounds like you've never had to dig paint or putty out of the head of a square drive or torx screw. Phillips and slotted are much easier to clean out with a pick than square or torx. Frearson drive is better than a phillips because you can use more torque to drive the screw

I will say, as an American, Robertson screw heads are superior. However, I will also say that I have no idea why a ratcheting screwdriver is a thing, if you know how to use a screwdriver properly it's actually faster than a ratcheting screwdriver. All that said, decent kit, not the greatest but also my needs are probably different than yours
