I have done the Evo and Subie thing, and the money Ive lost to them just on basic maintenance from things constantly breaking is probably a nice down payment on a house.. On the other hand, I havent had motor issues yet with ANY of my Hondas.. And I beat the crap out of them. The K series is just on another level.

An easier way to diagnose a bad mivec cam gear phaser is to log in evoscan Mivec target vs mivec actual. They should see the same value with in a degree or two.

4B11t cam bolts are torque to yield and should only be used once. Grade 8.8 of the same spec work great and it's super cheap. M8×1.25 cant rememebr legnth. M6×1 40mm.

Guess we have something in common but my evo x isn’t knocking but it was down a cylinder and I pulled the spark plugs and cylinder 4 spark plug was crushed and closed the gap so it was driving terribly on 3 cylinders and now the evo gonna be down for a long time waiting to save for a rebuild
