Hi i have XFX RX 480 8GB BLACK EDTION OC used before in mining but it's looks good when i run game it's so hot OVER 80C so i replace thermal paste and thermal pads and it's still run hot so i undervolat it and underclock it and i set fan curve and still run betwen 78-82 that's is not good at all can i fix it with heat treatment like hair dryer? Plz help

i did this to my 1050ti and it worked but a week later artifacting struck me again, it's safe to say this is just a temporary fix atleast to my case.

@@hickorya1251 don't do this method if you want to very much revive your card, doing this will slowly burn you processor chip (at least thats what happened to me) leave it to the board level technicians theres a bigger chance of it to be fixable before resorting to this crude method, i also end up buying another GPU.

i tried this on my msi rx570 gaming x 4gb and it worked. But if the temperature goes to 85 degrees celcius, my pc turns off and when i tried to restart it, it wont boot up. Repeated the same fix procedure and it works. Can my corsair vs450 supply enough power when my gpu reaches its maximum watts?

@Dreinix Buy a cheap heatgun and use it on your gpu for 5-8 mins. My rx 570 is still working because of it. Be sure to use new thermal pads and thermal paste.

@Dreinix i used blowdry before and I kept getting errors same as yours but now that I used heatgun to reheat my gpu it works for 6 months then it doesnt boot up again, repeated the same process to fix gpu and it still works.

Keep details and resolutions lower. Open case and blow house fan on the GPU. It should stay under 70 all the time.

Hi, just improve airflow, don't do the hair dryer trick, that's only worth it as a last resort if your card is already dead

No, you should properly replace the thermal paste and thermal pads, clean the GPU cooler and make sure the fans are spinning, make sure the cooler is properly attached

please help me i can't fix my gpu ( EX-RX570-O4G ) here comes the problem. Though stable in desktop mode (watching movies and browsing the web) it's totally fine, but the second I try load up a game, the game crashes. I've tested multiple game and the same thing happens every time. I know this is a mining sub and not a gaming sub, but I feel like this is the best place to get answers as a lot of you are familiar with these cards and the known issues.
