It’s really cool to see how well you guys are doing with KZbin.. Honestly during the years of the TV show, I was a massive hater.. but when you guys got out of that and picked up your KZbin channel, there was a notable shift in the quality of the content and in the overall vibe you guys had (for the better, in my opinion). Slowly became a fan, and now I am addicted to the videos. You’re doing great work, especially the way you’ve gone out of your way to find large scale projects that are great content and extremely charitable at the same time. People helping people is a beautiful thing!

I'm in that same camp. I always thought these guys were just D-bags with money and using that to do idiotic things. It wasn't until the Susan Powell coverage that I really turned over a new leaf concerning them, and now I want to stop in at the shop the next time I'm in SLC.

Congrats for the perseverance to finally get that beast out. And you certainly have a great bunch of people working for you. If it's anything like the Arkansas river up in Tulsa Oklahoma area that much damage to it will permanently weaken it. Making it 100x easier for the next person to get stuck worse. The Arkansas river has claimed lives from this. One moment you're driving along on a sand bar next moment you are buried/eaten alive almost instantly. And damn near nothing will pull you out. It's illegal for that reason to ever go into that river when "dry"

What a great and, to me, completely unknown story. Thanks for making this. While it wouldn’t help with any recovery I wonder if you’ve ever thought of hovercraft for moving people etc in these shallow-water / sandy / muddy condition. They certainly have their drawbacks but there isn’t another mode of transport that can beat an air-cushion vehicle where you can’t walk, drive yet the terrain is relatively flat and unobstructed. Thanks!

That would be awesome! Probably the one type of vehicle he doesn't have yet lol. I mean he's already sold the island, but that's a good idea.

The best mud mats are tree logs, I've done this a few times. The longer and wider the better. Also steel plates would've helped to keep the slop from coming back in when you were digging it out.

It’s not officially stuck until everything else becomes stuck attempting to unstuck it lol. That is a pretty bad stuck though. Man you’re living the life of my dreams. I’m happy for your success and hope that some day, getting my excavator stuck is a problem of mine. I do site development/underground utilities and site work at the place I work for. I absolutely love what I do and I can’t wait to wake up in the morning and head out to work. After I get my life a bit more on track, I am going to try to buy a mini excavator and a little 1 ton type dump truck with a trailer and start a property maintenance and excavation type business. I enjoy watching your videos and imagining myself being in what ever it is the situation it is you’re in and how I would go about getting to the end result.

Get a small excavator and do demo work I have landscape buisness and everything is so cutthroat right now doing much better doing hay, shredding everyone who has a mower has a “landscape” company , and don’t get me started on the idiots that buy skidsteers with mulcher running them for 80$ hr doing bad work because they want a quick buck and end up screwing it up for everyone that takes pride in their work, never leave a job unfinished always bid high if they want quality work they will pay and their are people that will pay 200hr and not blink as long as your dependable and go the extra mile also a small dump truck isn’t best investment you’d be better with regular 350 with dump trailer if gonna get dump get full size

@@michaelcarmine9923 Thanks buddy. One day. 14 years ago when I turned 18 in basic training, I made a promise to myself that no goal will ever be too big to achieve. All these years later, a huge sht fight with an ex that has since passed away and a child that wasn’t mine, near death illness that had me on a ventilator in the icu(not covid) and everything else along the way has set me back a little but there’s still time. Best wishes to you as well.

In the Netherlands we use "bronnering" to temporarily lower the groundwater level. Long pipes are injected into the ground and then a pump is connected to it to slowly dry the ground. No idea if it would have any effect in this situation.
