It’s really cool to see how well you guys are doing with KZbin.. Honestly during the years of the TV show, I was a massive hater.. but when you guys got out of that and picked up your KZbin channel, there was a notable shift in the quality of the content and in the overall vibe you guys had (for the better, in my opinion). Slowly became a fan, and now I am addicted to the videos. You’re doing great work, especially the way you’ve gone out of your way to find large scale projects that are great content and extremely charitable at the same time. My grandfather worked on cat equipment. When I was a kid he told me about job sites where pipes were pushed in the ground at angle around the stuck equipment to get air to break the suction in generally similar circumstances. He said in some cases dynamite from the job site was dropped down a pipe hoping it break the seal.

Fun fact. In similar conditions where stuff like tunneling is needed it is common for the construction to require pipes be bored through the mud then running super chilled fluid through them and freezing all the mud solid over a few weeks before digging the thunnels. Mud like this is EXTREMELY difficult to deal with without large scale opperations like freezing or driving dams around the mud then pumping or removing it.

We use cement stabilization dust when we get em hung up like that, it’ll turn the ground around it to concrete, then they usually come right on out👍👍gives ya some solid ground to grab on to!!

That fact that stuck excavator stayed running and got out underpower still after all that is fu ck ing legendary. What a machine hope you gave that a thing a kiss when it got to firm ground. And do you still own that excavator? Love your content keep up the hard work.

Is it possible there’s something besides the swampy muddy ground making the soil so bad out there? Like could there be something leaking under the ground ? You said there was a well, and also the further you go into the ground it’s super wet. Which makes me think of a really big leak/really big underground water source like a spring or something.

It's a lake bed.. there's a high water table. So it's literally just water in the ground from the lake. No leaks or anything.
