@@romeliaanddixieyou cant compare one is meant for herding/ sport/ human protection, while boerbul is a hunter, compound guardian, resource/ area protector. Both are meant for different work hence the build. Usually bigger muscle dogs like mastiff make great small quarter home/ property protection.

All I can say is that I hope they start breeding more of these dogs this should be the standard of the German Shepherd. I'm tired of seeing people talk about the magnificence of the Malinois. A fantastic breed, but the German Shepherd bred to its standard is equally as magnificent although obviously larger and more substance

And to have a mother and daughter win the WSV-well that has to be the most amazing accomplishment for a handler❤❤ I wonder if taking the dam to a more “standard” sire was to possibly bring in some really good thing like excellent hips/heart. Educated guess on expensive puppies (no clue about Bang’s price) but she was probably somewhere from $7,500-$15,000 (possibly more but actual working puppies typically don’t breach 15k even though show quality American Bullies can sell for $40,000 sadly dogs that have a purpose aren’t in as high demand)
