I was a movie extra in American Underdog which is a MMA movie but the movie is still being shown in film festivals I hope it gets released

Being that I was ten when the '79 TV movie was released, I had the frightening experience of seeing one of the best King adaptations. The trailer for this new film looks okay, though I hope the film isn't drowned with too much humor. I still feel this should have been made into a limited series. Look how fantastic Midnight Mass was. Something tells me this new Salem's Lot will fall short and fade from memory.

People don't realize how much waiting and standing around there is on movie and TV sets. Even the stars have to wait while shots are set-up, etc. Sometimes it can take a whole day to shoot one or two scenes. (I only know this through reading and watching actor and director interviews over the years.) I wonder if I could be an extra at my age? "These pretzels are making me thirsty!" 😂

The trailer looks class Mike, just hope they keep the creepy dark feel of the 1979 version. If they decide to introduce comedy lines or humour into this film then that goes against everything the story is about. We shall see how good they have done in a few weeks. 👍

Not exactly but Kinda, I did see the ruff cut that they made in 2022. But I haven’t seen the new improvements they made since then.

Hi Mike. I live down in MD. Is there a website you recommend going to in order to find extra jobs? Was it a paid or unpaid extra job? How many days did you work for? Was any of it filmed in Maine where it actually takes place? Thanks. 👍🏻

Absolutely man! Yeah I was on the set for 2 days. I believe they shot some scenes in Maine, but I know the company was located in Massachusetts, and recorded at least 70% of the movie in Massachusetts. And yes I was paid for the days I was on set. I wasn’t a sag actor yet when I recorded it, I did Salems lot as a nonunion job. If you’re looking to get involved in background acting i’d be happy to help in anyway I can!
