If you go to the old city near Hakimaan Gate is 'Katra Hakimaan ' , which was established long ago by my husband's ancestor Hakim Gul Muhammad, during the reign of HH S Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji in Punjab. It's very close, walking distance from Sri Harmandir Sahib .

Golden Temple is also based on Seva which is the foundation of Dharma/vedas and GT serves 100,000 people a day. There are other places like Akshya Patra/Iskcon (serve 150,000 a day) and other numerous places that serve similar numbers. Its amazing work they do all because the Vedic dharma is about Seva to others. These are the Dharmic people.

I've never seen a single video on youtube about Harimandir (Golden temple) where it ended without a patronizing tone, that "no one is discriminated, everyone eats togather and all that". Temples across india does that and they aren't obligated to because mandirs are the only religious institutions that pays govt bill, gurudwara and masjids and church are free to use their money as they want. I live in vellore and 25 km to the west there's a beautiful Laxmi temples, they do the same, every day. My Christian friends eat there with me almost every other day. Best part is that nobody takes pride in doing seva. There's true humility. You wont find them youtube. Edit: Its not about this video, particularly.

Arjun, you need to explain to Julie tcomplex words, so that it is easy for her to remember. When she was fumbling for Gurudwara, you took the easy way out and told her to call it as temple. Instead, you could have split the word as Guru - Dwara and explain it as the gateway to the Gurus, then she will remember it easily and will also help her to pronounce the Hindi words more accurately
