TRADING PSYCHOLOGY
Nicholas talks about the reality of his experiences of first making big money from trading (closing 5-figure and 6-figure trades). How it changed his life at the time, what he has learned as a professional trader and changed since then.
Unlike what you may see from other traders claiming to be successful in the markets and showing lavish lifestyles. The reality can often be very different.

Never flaunt your money, because you will be attracting the wrong people. It is not your obligation to pay for everyone in your circle. You are better off buying a homeless person lunch/dinner. You are better off buying a new wheelchair for someone in need rather than blowing that money on booze for the evening. People in your circle have jobs, they can buy their own drinks and pay for their own food. Never pick up your date in a nice car, fancy clothes and fancy outings, in fact rent an old car and if she goes out with you on more dates after that, then she's a keeper. I just hope that people learn the lesson before all of it is gone or that person walks out of your life because there is no more money.

there's nothing wrong with a woman being attracted to expensive cars. They are future mothers, it's nature itself dictating through billions of years of evolution to mate with a male that will be able to feed and provide for the off-spring. Same as there's nothing wrong with men being attracted to femininas with large titties and good skin cause it's nature itself dictating that a feminina like that will be able to bear the child, not die in fuken labor and then be able to feed it in its infant years. Now the time where shit goes wrong is when ugly af fat bitches like half of california are so brainwashed by social networks into thinking they don't need to take care of themselves and are STILL entitled to date males with Lamborghinis, now that shit is plain wrong yeah.

I'm actually enjoying life so much more since I've chosen to invest and trade. It has actually enhanced my minimalist lifestyle. I'm selling off anything I don't need and use that fiat money to pay for groceries, the barbershop et cetera. Meanwhile, I'm putting all that lazy spare money on my bank account to work through trading and investing. Financial independence will buy you mental ease. I don't care about cars, expensive holidays and what you have. I rather work out, read books, meet friends and enjoy people in general. That's real wealth. The money is just a safety cushion to protect you against unforeseen bills or financial blows to people who are dear to you.

You are ahead of the curve, young man. The old saying " money can't buy happiness" is right. BUT, what money can buy is freedom. If you can't be happy with freedom, it's not the moneys fault. The hardest thing about trading for me was I never felt like I accomplished anything. All I had was a bigger account, if things went well. When I was young, and built houses, I could see what I'd done that day, and 30 years later I can still drive by them. The best thing I ever did was set a number, as a goal, and quit when I got there. I still keep an eye on the markets, and have even been trading when they offer free money, like the last couple weeks. Trading is hard work and a lot of fun, but very lonely, and easy to burn out. Once you learn to walk away from a screen, life gets better. There is always another trade. Enjoyed listening to you talk !

Most successful traders have an extremely tight schedule.They have to do a lot of research and be glued to the computer screen.You won't get the kind of freedom you desire if you pursue trading at least if you want to be successful at it.Do it if you love it, if you think traders are free and can do whatever they want any time...you are dead wrong!!

@@ptnibin123456 Dude don’t be so negative I make around $450k+ a year from trading stocks and forex and I’m not glued to my screen I check my trades like 4 or 5 times a day. Trading is not just about being glued to your screen and looking at charts. You can be glued to your desk and get a shit ton of work to do but you’re going nowhere with that negative attitude. Be positive and you’ll start seeing more opportunities everywhere you look. Best of luck to you though!

@@trmibp9441 Soon enough, you are gonna end up losing everything you made with that kind of attitude. Trading is about being realistic and consistent. Huge amounts of optimism is not gonna help you out here. There is a reason why the majority of traders are in loss in the long run, if it were that easy everyone would be doing it. Take a 40 yr time period, the best traders in the world would average 15-20% Cagr....Consistency is key here, Cagr matters not amount!! Trading is a full time profession, that requires a lot of research and dedication.Those who do not realise this, make money in a bull run and are wiped out in the next market cycle.

@@ptnibin123456 I do quite a lot of research I just don’t day trade because that’s where lots of traders lose money because everyone wants to get rich quick and yes you’re right a big correction in the markets wipe out most people but if you do research and your strategy lines up you can make money in the bear market and in the bull market i shorted bitcoin from $58k and well look where we are now it’s at $31k so how about you just also trade and gain experience and make some good money because it’s possible and remember live the life you want to live don’t just be another statistic yes everyone loses money at some point heck what if Monday morning you walk into the office and your boss tells you sorry our company isn’t doing well because of the markets and you get fired…To be honest the financial markets don’t just affect traders they also affect businesses and the workforce just look at the 2008 financial crisis or the dot com crash lots of people were affected in those days as well and yeah businesses had to shut down so don’t be negative anything can happen. I’m not mean or anything but I’ve come to learn that with the right mindset and goals you can achieve anything
@ptnibin123456
@ptnibin123456 2 жыл бұрын
@@trmibp9441 Ok, good for you....but I still believe Trading is a full time profession, and the Cagr will be more or less the same in the long run. You can lose money in trading, this is not equivalent to getting fired as you do not lose money here, it just means loss of income, as long as you have the necessary skill, you can get a new job. It doesn't impair your life, whereas a serious mistake in trading can result in bankruptcy....Rick Guerin is the epitome of this fact.

I liked your openess, thank you for your sincerity. As a Christian, and learning to trade / invest, my purpose is not just to have my need's and my family' met (food, medicine, transportation, clothes, etc.), I want to be the hands and feet of Jesus, helping others fight poverty, lack of education, illness and loneliness. Being alone is a great form of suffering these days, and I'd like to tacle on this social issue with resources and the help of churches. I've have had a high paying job in the past and I'm aware that money does not necesarely humanizes you, it just unlocks rooms of your mind and soul that you didn't know where there before, and that poses challenges and hard questions. So, it is good always to work hard, think hard about what am I doing here? Do I have any purpose or cause I'd like to invest my life in? The Bible says the greatest thing for which God made us is love: to love Him above all else, and to love our neighbour as ourselves. Thank you for you channel! Greetings from Chile!

6 minutes in and this is the most useful and humane video i've seen about trading yet. We often look at money as if it is the only thing that matters (and of course they do to some extent) and that we should put our efforts to. That's where things start getting creepy. I had the exact same experience, lost my beloved cause i was too worried about making money and always working, not seeing it wouldn't actually fix a thing. The opposite, actually. I didn't earn any money, I just bought them with my time

I can totally relate to this. I have a friend who's family is loaded! I've been on 2 month long European vacations with him going to Morocco, Spain, Tunisia, Italy, Greece and Turkey. There are things that are great. To finally "live" with no concern about money. But there is a downside. Like you said, your problems are still there. For me it wasn't problems, but I felt "empty". My life ceased to have meaning. I was aimless. Just traveling and wandering around but I felt like I didn't have a purpose anymore. I think that was the most surprising thing for me from the experience. Everyone always wonders what it would like to be rich and they are sure it would be great. And that's true to a point. But people never think about the other side. I'm a trader. Last year was my first profitable year after 8 years. I do want to make all the money I can but it's not for houses, watches, clothes, cars or any other material things. They can't bring happiness. The money will enable me to be "Free" and have the resources to fulfill a purpose. To do something of meaning to me. To be able to truly "live"!

Step 3: visualize your path to achieving it Step 4: execute (hard work/determination/patience/consistency/accountability/really be able to look in the mirror) If your “friends” treat you like that you’re not your friends. I generally rarely comment on YT Videos. I'd say I comment 1 out of every 1000 videos, but felt compelled to comment on this one. I wanted to say this was one of the best and "most real" videos from "gurus" that I've watched. First of all, there is almost no editing/cutting. It's almost a continuous unscripted video. Second, it's felt very honest which is a rarity on YT these days. Thanks for sharing your insights, they were quite valuable.

There are very few videos on KZbin that has gotten me so glued to my phone as this one did, I’m just trying to get into trading and I can already tell that the path ahead might be exactly as you’ve described. I’m the type who doesn’t know where to draw the line and tell myself “‘maybe you’re doing too much”… and like you said, I’ll always wanna think about how much I could potentially be making if I stayed at home and traded as against going out to live and experience life. Thanks for sharing this with such level of sincerity and detail. Bless

The Duomo Initiative - Financial Education hey buddy, so I started trading last week, got a $11,000 relocation allowance from my job and poured it all in (8k). Bought this highly volatile Indian stock called IGC which was soaring so much for about $2k and I doubled my money by the third day, sold the stock only for me to get greedy or cocky or having a FOMO that I reinvested it all back in and it crashed that same day. I’m a bit young, work for Intel Corporation so I think it’s not a big deal losing that money but I can’t keep losing money like that and so I would really love if someone with your level of prowess could be my mentor

What you've said is so true. You get to a point of emptiness, everything that you have always wanted to do and have was nothing in the end. What do you do when you have everything? Life is so boring when you have nothing to strive for. Trips, places, material things don't matter in the end. I now find entertainment with dressing as a normal human being giving money away to people who need it. Giving is your next calling. Trust me, it feels great.

So much content in this video 👌. This is the reality. being honest, how often do experience traders lose trades?
@Duomoinitiative
@Duomoinitiative 4 жыл бұрын
I would say most experienced traders will lose trades more often than new traders. If you look at the win/loss profile, new traders are defined by many small wins and few huge losses, since they’ll close winning trades early and hold onto losing trades too long out of hope and loss aversion. One of the keys to becoming a good trader is being willing to take a (relatively smaller) loss and knowing when it’s time to hop out of the trade.
