not gon hold you when styles goes through the artists that he worked with and acknowledged him equally, that shit got me mad emotional because as a kid growing to be a man, there’s nothing more gratifying than being acknowledged accepted and admired by your idols and peers. the confidence it builds makes everything different and not in and arrogant way, it should translate into responsibility to give your best output because you never want to let down anyone that ever vouches for you. sadly for me and a lot of us, i didn’t recognise it until i was much older and not in position to capitalise on it. so even though i didn’t make it as a ball player or writer or photographer, just getting to hear this perspective from styles is everything and even though we come from different places and upbringings, it’s a line that connects all of us as black men. salute to the ghost. math, salute! this is epic.

Styles P has done great things for hip hop, the awareness of health and Yonkers, New York. I've been a fan of The LOX since day one and I'm in for life. These gentlemen have put out consistent content throughout the year and held their own with the all-time greats. Styles P is outspoken and makes a lot of sense. Great interview as always!

His portion about death is something I've tried to explain to people but very rarely understand. I lost my mother at 10, grandmother at 20, Male figure at 16, amongst others; you learn that death happens and we can't control it. Just appreciate the time you have with said person and yourself. Thats why the streets aren't worth it. If you can sell weight, successfully, you can run a business. It's really the same thing

Okay so i had to pause the video to write this, I'm a Philly STREET Chick, I dont know nothing else. I always been a BIG 'SP THE GHOST' FAN / LOX. PART OF THE STREET CULTURE OF MY YEARS I COULD SAY. NOW I KNOW STYLES IS JUST TELLING HIS TRUTH BUT KEEPING IT ALL DA WAY REAL. IM NOT GONE LIE HE NOT COMPLETELY TURNING ME OFF BUT HIS ENERGY KINDA RUBBING ME WRONG. I ALWAYS LOOKED AT HIM AND THOUGHT OF HIM AS WAY WAYYY MORE HUMBLE THEN HOW HE IS COMING OFF IN THIS INTERVIEW. AND PUSHING 5.0 I REALLY THOUGHT HE WOULD HAVE IT A LITTLE MORE DOWN TO EARTH. LISTEN ALL I KNOW IS GANGSTER LINGO AND ITS DEF A WAY MORE SMOOTHER WAY TO TELL THE SAME STORIES AND HAVE NIGGAS RESPECT YOUR GEE THEN THE WORDS HE IS CHOOSING. ITS LIKE, IDK HOW TO SAY IT. LIKE HE STILL TRYING TO PROVE HIMSELF AFTER ALL THAT WORK HE PUT IN. HE MUST FEEL LIKE HES LOOSING IN SOMEWAY. OR JUST MORE IMMATURE THEN I THOUGHT HE WAS. NOW MY NIGGA @MATHHOFFA IM NOT GONNA LIE IM NOT TO INTO THE N.Y POLITICS LIKE THAT BUT, THE WAY YOU JUST BOSS CHECKED THAT NIGGA AND GOT HIM BACK IN LINE AROUND 25:20 REMINDING HIM WERE HE WAS WITHOUT SAYING IT. TELLING HIM HES GETTING BESIDE HIMSELF. HA NOW THATS HOW A REAL BUILT BOSS NIGGA TALK. YOU JUST GOT YOU A PHILLY STREET FAN BIITCH FO LIFE MY NIIGA. LMFAOOO. I LOVED IT. I WAS LITERALLY LAUGHING OUT LOUD. #BOSS #MATHHOFFA LOOK ME UP WHEN IN TOWN #DABID

@@lovehildagreyit's the word choices you''re saying might show he's still bit insecure about his gangster? J can understand that, but if you compare how he is now, compared to then? Styles mentioned having a dad and a mom in his life but whenever they asked him about what his parents knew about his street life Styles really only talks about his mom. Wish they would've asked him more specifically about the role his dad played in his life. I know you can't stop anyone who really wants to be out in the streets but, still, you'd think it'd be more the dad's responsibility to address that situation 🤔
