I hope you enjoyed the My Extreme Minimalist Apartment Tour (Low Furniture) video, for more minimalist tours: • MINIMALIST Room Tour -...
This is my minimalist apartment tour. I'm quite extreme minimalistic because I don't like household duties and cleaning up a lot. I am also very sensitive for visual stimulation and visual thing in general so my apartment needs to be very minimal. Also, I have very little furniture and I want to live furniture free in the future.
I hope you enjoy this minimalist apartment tour.

I can really relate to being sensitive to visual clutter and preferring low furniture. I love having a lot of floor space not only because it's calming but make cleaning so much easier! I'm glad there are others who share the same preference!

@@AnjasArtWorld Makes me happy to hear that it's your favorite style :) It's true, your home looks very very Scandinavian. I think it's because more than half the year, it's all about darkness. @AnjasArtWorld
@AnjasArtWorld 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! Yes those shampoo bars are very convenient if you don't want to have a lot of extra stuff and are looking for something more natural. It took me a while to get used to it/ to adjust. It was quite a different sensation than the liquid shampoos I was used to using, so it took me a while until I liked them ;) I don't know where you can get them in other countries but here in the Netherlands we can order the shampoo bars online and they ship them plastic free. We also have some physical stores, mostly the natural/organic kind of stores, that sell shampoo bars as well. Sometimes I also just use regular (hand) soap and I particularly like the Aleppo one or most of the soaps from those natural stores. I hope this helped you and you can find one! x

This is the first time I've felt someone's actually communicated to me that it's ok that clutter visually can have a detrimental effect and it's ok to live this extreme. I crave this environment. My big question is parents. If elderly mum visits overnight I feel I need furniture, bed and comfortable chair. How to deal with this. I thought of Murphy bed. Chair. Is more problematic

Hi Anja, I'm curious what your bunnies do during the day. My rabbit is extremely bored all of the time and if he doesn't have a new toy, he'll just start chewing my boots, the carpet, the walls. As someone who aspires to be a minimalist myself, having half of my items be for my rabbit and the clutter of it is overwhelming. He is almost 9 years old and he doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon haha. Would love to hear what you do/ or own for your pets!
@AnjasArtWorld
@AnjasArtWorld 3 жыл бұрын
I'm so happy to hear that your rabbit is still so playful at 9 years old :) how amazing! I hope mine will be too (although the chewing on stuff is annoying haha) Yes, it's a bit of a difficult combination being a minimalist and having a rabbit that chews on things and makes a lot of clutter/ waste. I really struggled to find a balance and to be honest my rabbits were a big reason to get rid of a lot of things and I made so many mistakes in the beginning with them. For wooden furniture I use transparent duck tape to protect it, and for wallpaper I use playpins to cover it so they can't chew it. I'm also a big fan of “puzzle” toys, which can keep them busy for quite some time. (and they have more complicated levels) and indeed as you said, to rotate toys, and I give them a lot of cardboard boxes and so forth. I also do my best to not leave fabric materials in their surrounding because they chew that immediately. I know that you probably already know Lennon the bunny's channel, but I do get most of my ideas from her so I put it here just to be sure ;)

I find it impossible to live in a minimalistic home with pets ... I have pets and I am not able to be a minimalist ... help
@AnjasArtWorld
@AnjasArtWorld 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ananda, I'm sorry to hear that. I can relate to the struggles though. I do find that it's so much easier to be a minimalist without pets. And they really do require extra stuff, more cleaning of the home, time spent with them and so forth. The struggle is definitely real! But on the other hand because of the fact that I have pets (who make a lot of mess) it gave me a challenge to really upgrade my minimalism and to rethink what I need and to get rid of much more stuff than I would have done without them, for that I'm so thankful. Also, I think every minimalist has something that they love to spent time and space on, and for some of us it is having pets. I don't know how many pets you have and also which kinds, but I think that can also really affect the amount of stuff you need to have and the amount of maintenance. They certainly do make it more challenging 🙉

@AnjasArtWorld
@AnjasArtWorld 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much, I'm happy to hear that. And it's nice to hear that you want to sleep on a futon, I have no experience with futons but I'm also very interested in getting one myself. In this video I just used my old Ikea mattress because I knew I would buy a new "bed" when I would move (either a futon or hammock) indeed you do have to put something underneath, like a wooden frame or a tatami mat. I do think that sometimes with futons it's also possible without if you air it every day. And wishing you a great day as well :)

Thanks for your comment :) The bench I got from a local thrift store/charity store and they give homeless people a place and a job and one of those residents made it. I really love the craftsmanship and how he made the bench. I would definitely recommend going to a local craftsman store or thrift store in your neighborhood (if it is save in your area to go out during the pandemic of course). I hope you can find something that suits your needs well :) The cover is actually a meditation cushion. You can find them on Etsy, people from all over the world make them so hopefully you can find one near you (so you don't have to deal with expensive shipping-costs)
