I had 82 eyeshadow palettes at the start of quarantine and had a dedicated dresser in my bedroom for them. I’ve decluttered, sent to friends and donated to the local women’s shelter and now I’m down to 16. I don’t see myself ever owning more than 20 palettes at one time ever again. I’m very thankful to have found your channel as well as other youtubers who focus on using what you have, and not buying everything that launches. *I have my cosmetology license and used to keep a lot of palettes in my kit for proms and weddings. I’m not practicing anymore so I feel like that’s how my collection started to get out of hand haha. 🙈

20 is my limit also. I currently have 16 and if I get to 20 then I have to declutter one to bring a new one in. It prevents me from buying color stories that I know I won’t use but still think I need for some reason. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Sometimes I am excited about the new products and sometimes I miss the ones I gave away enough to repurchase.

@@lorileblanc616 Whenever you want to declutter smth put it somewhere that you won't be able to see it unless you search for it (for example in the back of your closet). If a few months pass and you never miss it, then give it away. I'm getting bored easily just like you but whenever I get bored of smth I'm bored. Period. I won't ever miss it. It would drive me crazy to repuechase smth that I jad and I didn't finish 🤑

I have about 70 large palettes and lots of quads and duos. All my makeup I'm not currently using is in an elfa storage unit. I like them because they are wire mesh and I've added wheels to mine for ease of movement. I keep my in use/rotation palettes and bulky items on top of my dresser in a letter organizer from tj maxx. My collection is way to big but I love it. Going on a low buy for 2021

Lol I store my pallets in an od way so I can see them all at same time. In my room I put up steel flat bars on one wall and painted them the wall color. After that I put 🧲 on back of my pallets and stuck them to wall. It's a really cool look and I don't lose any pallets.

I have almost 400 palettes!! They are my weakness for sure but I’ve accumulated them over the past few years and honestly use a different palette every single day so that I can give them all use! I have 180 and just did a declutter to project beauty share. I send them a big box of makeup, skincare and feminine hygiene products once a year. I love my large collection but don’t mind sharing products also to people who really need them. As long as your happy with them and not overwhelmed that’s what’s important. I got a lot too. I have 15 eyeshadow palettes and don't want anymore so I can really use and enjoy what I have. I use magazine holders to store them. I have found that desk organizer items work well for makeup storage and it's a lot cheaper!

I made the comment on your community tab about having 154 palettes. I store them in a book shelf. It works great for that purpose and it takes up 4 shelves. (The other 2 shelves I use for nail polish and extra brushes and extra beauty items that do not fit anywhere else). I have a small house so half of our bedroom is my beauty space. It was actually my husband's idea to give me half of the bedroom because he knows makeup is my happy place. I'm curious to read how other people store theirs.

Really appreciate your channel. I watch probably too many KZbinrs and from that I have too much makeup. Not sure of the count of the palettes but I am sure its around 75-100. I live with my BF and he gave me a room to make a closet and that room turned into a Closet/Beauty room. I keep my pallettes in Alex drawers, another Ikea drawer set and Allie Gtines makeup bag sets for my Charlotte Tilbury and some Pat McGraph. Its ridiculous and I have to get a hold of things. I've got about 45 palettes and I store them in an old 3 drawer bedside chest. I was going to get rid of it when I bought a new piece of furniture for that space but I had room for it on the other side of my bedroom and there's a lamp on it so it serves a purpose other than storage. The rest of my makeup is in a dresser drawer and my lipsticks are in little acrylic drawers displayed on my bookshelf.

I had over 100 at some point, but decluttered a ton to my younger niece lol I have a room where I have my sexy shoes, hair stuff, nail stuff, and Alex drawers for my makeup. I’ve been shopping my stash and actually have hit pan in several palettes, so it reminds me that I do use what I have! i used to have close to thirty palettes (i never purchase ONE before 2020 [i got the super small pat mcgrath shimmer palette for $14 and the pyt no bs palette for 50% off] people just always gave me palettes as gifts). when i stored them, they had their own drawer in my desk. I pared down this year and I now have 11. They fit in a little bin from the dollar tree😂 I'm decluttering my MR at the end of 2021 because it's super super old, but I want to pan my favorite shades first:) so excited to get down to ten!! I’ve been collecting for about 3 years. I usually wait for non-limited edition palettes to go on sale, or I splurge on Black Friday and have around 160 palettes with my newest on being the Club Nebula palette that was delivered today. Before that my newest was the Sigma Enchanted palette that I got during a recent sale. The majority of my make up I purchase on sale. The most palettes I have of one brand is Colourpop (about 40) and second being Juvia’s Place (about 15). I have some organized in acrylic palette separators from Amazon and the rest in square baskets that dip in the front stored on shelves in an IKEA cube storage shelf system (don’t know what it’s called).

And also I don't know the quality of the rest of them. I own one of the ten pan palettes from them - discontinued- and I like the sofisticated color of the shimmers. @@enikosimo1831 Animal Magic has a good amount of Matt shades, Love Stone is all shimmer shades and discontinued. But like with all of Pacifica eyeshadow palette lots of fallout and the blues are really nice. It's easy to do an everyday Makeup look if you want a Neutral look. I would recommend it because over all it's a good palette.

I have WELL over 100 palettes. I don't have kids, so our 2nd bedroom is my beauty room. I have 4 cube units of 25 cubes each, stacked 2 high, so I have created a wall of 10x10 sturdy wooden cube fixtures to store them. I have a palette wall! All my other makeup is stored in dedicated drawer units, like Alex Drawers, but less expensive versions from Wayfair. I have 6 of them. 2 double units, one for lip products and one for all other makeup other than face color products. So there's a drawer for primer, foundation, shadow mini-palettes (4 or less shades), cream and/or glitter eye products, singles, brow products, concealers, eyeliner, setting spray etc. The single drawer units are for bronzer, blush, and highlight, but palettes and singles and brushes. My other two drawer sets are for hair items and for jewelry. The brush drawer is sorted by type of brush...crease, lid, powder, blush, highlight etc. It includes a sponge drawer and the bottom drawer for dirty so I just take out that whole drawer when it's time to clean. To be fair, I also have one wall of this room for shelves for clothes, and the last wall has my vanity.

I just made it to 26 palettes this year. I have a wheelie cart with drawers. I keep most of my makeup in there. I have one drawer of eyeshadow palettes that is pretty much full. I need to declutter some palettes if I want to buy more. I have such a hard time of letting them go though even if I haven’t used them in ages. Born to Run would be a good example. I also don’t have friends that are into makeup to pass them on to.

I have about 300 palettes. I have a large master bedroom, all my makeup is stored nicely in Alex drawers from Ikea. I have three of the tall, 9 drawer dresser pieces. I also have a large desk with a mirror that sit next to the drawers, but yes, my makeup takes up a section of our bedroom but I feel like if you have great storage you can make it look nice and neat with a cute place to get ready. I just got the Naked Honey and it’s indeed really good, I feel they really improved their formula to match the current trends (more pigment, more impact in the shimmers, the darker shades are also easier to work with than in their previous palettes). Since I’m panning Naked 3, the comparison is interesting!

I do have over 100. I got there this summer because the budget I usually used to eat out with coworkers/buy work clothes had suddenly become available while working from home so I bought some indie palettes on my wishlist 😅 I don’t have a desk vanity or beauty room. I’m near sighted and like to get close to my mirror so I don’t have to wear my glasses so I made a lighted full length mirror and next to it I have a skinny Alex 9 drawer. 2 drawers are face, 4 drawers are eyes (3 for palettes, one for brows/mascara/a few singles), one drawer is lips. The top drawer holds my glasses collection and the bottom drawer I use to keep extra lip balms, sponges, makeup bags/cases). On top I keep my two brush containers, a little container with my stand up foundation, and my lip/eye pencil organizer. I have enough ‘counter space’ for the makeup I’m using that day but it’s also small enough that I have to put everything im done with away so I don’t have clutter. I made a spreadsheet with all my palettes and ranking catagories for color story, ease of application, and longevity that total into a final score. Anything under a 5/10 I’m decluttering. It’s been a nice way for me to finalize my thoughts on each palette without me having to guess or remember if I liked it or not. I also am using the tiny decision app to choose my palette for the day so that I’m actually rotating through everything I use. I’m hoping to get down below 80. I also don’t have any large palettes, I hate keeping anything flat in my drawers - it it doesn’t stand up in there I don’t buy it. That way I can see the spines of everything I own.

I turned a small bedroom into my walk in closet where I keep all my makeup, shoes, jewelry etc. Palettes I have a 3 tier cart thing, and one of those plastic drawer carts as well. I wish my it’s freaking bats palette would get here already, it hasn’t even shipped yet!

I’ve got 175 palettes (half of them are small palettes, quads, etc) and I have a big drawer for them as well as one of the small ikea Alex drawers for some of the smaller palettes and hair tools, accessories, single pot shadows etc. I am lucky enough to have two whole rooms to myself though so one is my bedroom which includes my vanity table and all the makeup, and one is my work/study/library room. I know that’s way too much makeup but I love it and rotate through most everything 😆

I currently have 178 palettes with 1 on the way. (!!!!) I purchased so many last year. I love most of them, and have been trying to rotate through them. I may need to declutter at some point... I’m just not ready!! I currently have two organizers on my desk that house some, and a set of drawers to house the rest. My birthday is next month, and my boyfriend is going to get me a desk from ikea and a set of alex drawers so I can have a better system!

I'm able to store all my makeup in one of my dresser drawers. I only have 7 palettes and 2 z palettes and then a few of all the other categories. Except lips. I keep my lip products in a little drawer thing on top of my dresser. Working on using up and keeping my collection way pared down.

I have 11 palettes and so happy with it🥰 I don't see myself having more de 20 or 25. I can feel overwhelmed sometimes with the ones that I have! I really command and admire people who can have many more! Bc I want to try all of them! But I don't think I can ever do that

I have 18 eyeshadow palettes plus two palettes with singles and I love them all! They are my favorite beauty product and I used to be a makeup artist so I don't think that's too much makeup 😁Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷 😘😘😘

Eyeshadows are one of my favorite parts of makeup and I have hundreds. I have my makeup stored in my home office in Alex drawers with my vanity. It is one of my favorite rooms in the house. 🥰

I jokingly "blame" you, Andrea Matilliano and Samantha March for my ridiculous collection. Especially if YOU rave about a palette, I know it has to be good because your collection is reigned in. I have about a hundred palettes and store them in an Alex drawer (2 drawers dedicated.) Many are smaller palettes which I prefer. It is starting to over flow because I'm now into natasha denona but I aim to keep it to two drawers. It is in a tall drawer in the corner of my bedroom. I dont have a dedicated beauty room

I have two pallets, a morphe 35 shade palettes and the Nikkie tutorials x beautybay palette... I’m planning on buying some colourpop palettes with neutral shades for more on the go makeup and because I prefer smaller palettes and I only wear neutral looks (I’m 16 so if I wear more out there eye shadow it’s weird unless it’s for a special occasion)

I have over 100 palettes. I store them in a 3-tiered rolling cart I I found at Marshall’s last year. The cart is not too large so it doesn’t take up much room. I do not have a beauty room. The cart is in my bedroom.

Omgoodness Kelly I have over 100 palettes stored in IKEA Alex drawers and clear storage drawers from The Container Store. I do have a designated beauty room attached to my master bedroom but in my defense 😂😂 I have a passion for makeup/skincare and I’ve wanted to start a KZbin channel of my own but as a mature woman(42) I’m so afraid🥺. I had close to 200 palettes but I’ve decluttered down to 132! I have a makeup corner in my room. I have a regular student desk and I store palettes in the side cabinet and then beside me I have an old four drawer dresser chest and one drawer holds the rest. My Natasha Denona and the palettes I’m focusing on stay on top of my makeup desk. 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️

I think I have around the 70ish mark 😅 but I have a vanity that I put all of the items that I'm usuing for that month and the palettes that I'm not using are in one drawer in the small Alex drawers. If they start to not fit in there then I'll have to end up decluttering some.

I probably have more than 40, growing atm. They are in a dedicated drawer in my bathroom. It is somehow overwhelming, too much for a normal consumer but I cannot separate myself from them, as I love every single one of them. I'm trying to be more mindful about buying more and shopping my stash/project pans, etc thanks to you. But sometimes I still fail 😅 I will try harder this year but it already started rather badly, haha. Still working on it. I'm too attached to them, aaah 😭

The Naked Wild West palette is the first Naked palette from Urban Decay that has made me do a double take! I haven't purchased any since the Naked smoky palette and I'm thinking that's going to change once the new one is out!

I have all of the naked palettes. My favorite by far is naked 3. Naked heat is my 2nd favorite. Number 3 maybe cherry? 4 would be honey...

Kelly Gooch lol, well, that’s only how I’d rank my naked palettes. Born to run beats out all UD naked palettes except maybe naked 3. And my too faced chocolate bar style palettes all beat out all of my UD palettes, except naked 3. And then there’s other brands...

The lack of variation in the CP monochromatic palettes is why I wish I had known elf was going to come out with their mint palette. I could have saved a little bit of money and still got similar looks. As far as the Making Mauves palette, I do feel like I can get three distinct looks from it because I tend to use the three lightest shades together, the three medium, and the three darkest. It gives me a more neutral-pink look, a more mid-tone mauve look, and a more purple look. Wow, that UD palette is not what I would have expected. I do think it's pretty, but it doesn't really fit with the naked line.

I initially loved the idea of the UD Wild West - great packaging, love the greens. But ... 2 greens? Aside from those it looks like a very warm 2015-ish been there done that sort of palette. I bought Wanderlust because of your recommendation!

Wow u have such a well rounded manageable collection. For me generally I have 60-70 palettes in my collection. I have decluttered around 20 palettes in the last year or two I usually try to keep it around 60 for it to be more manageable. Right now I am around there, and then I have a few z palettes full of singles as well. Maybe I gotta declutter a few more. But def not gonna buy as many palettes as last year. I'm gonna keep it 10 max not 23 like last year omggg.

I don't buy palettes at all anymore just singles. I have 4 nine pan palettes I've made out of singles, the elf mint quad, 10 liquid shadows, 4 shadow sticks, 9 cream shadow pots and 10 single topper shadows x

I have around 80 and I just have a plastic and metal organizer thing from Amazon that I changed the knobs out on to make a little cuter and I keep them in there 😄 I’m gonna ask my dad to build me a makeup organizer though to revamp the vibe in my beauty room

I just moved all of my palettes to plastic drawer bins and I have some on top of my vanity and I have around 50 I feel I am constantly giving them away and I still have so many! Definitely on a low buy this month!

I have a little over 100 palettes.😜 I have 2 huge drawer sets kinda like the alex nine drawers. And my bedroom is big enough to have a vanity and the drawer sets sitting beside it lol 🙃

I had 130+ palettes that I stored in two big boxes I got from beautybay orders and I stored the boxes in my cupboards. I decluttered about a month ago and gave them to relatives and frienda. Now I'm left with 50+ palettes that fit in a medium square box from beautybay. I bought so many palettes because of the urge I had to experience different brands and formulas (same applies to lipsticks). Now that I experienced them I kept only the best of the best and I was more than ready to part with the rest. I rarely get excited about new palettes anymore which is perfect. Every other makeup category is less than 20 (lipsticks and brushes excluded). Meanwhile I never wear eyeshadow out 😅 I just like to play home.. I create eyeshadow looks and then wash them off and create new ones untill my eyes are sore.
