My favorite part about this movie is the callback to their "brooms" where Winifred gets her old broom, but Mary and Sarah get their "upgraded" versions of their previous brooms (Sarah had a mop and now she has a Swiffer; Mary had a vacuum and now she has 2 Roombas). That attention to detail really made this movie for me!

That kid is adorable, the way she signed off at the the end. Savannah seems intelligent and articulate, which shines a light on Jennifer as her mother. Beautiful family, very entertaining channel and I would love to see more of Savannah when you do movies that are geared towards younger audiences. This is so wholesome! If you have not seen it, I highly recommend you watch Ted Lasso, either as a react series of in your personal time. Hannah Waddingham, who plays Mother Witch in this, is one of the main cast in it and she is amazing. That whole show is a ball of positivity. You all will love it.

I agree this was a good to react to with Savannah. My youngest daughter (who is 25) came home just so we could watch this together too. Hocus Pocus is a Halloween classic in our family and it only makes sense to watch it together. Savannah was well-spoken and articulate. She did a good job presenting her counter-argument in favor of the film quite well. She seems the only one who actively grasped you’re comparing it to a movie that has probably been seen 2 dozen times. I believe this one will hold up in the long run too.

I have the same feelings as Holden towards this movie. Always disliked the Disney Channel dialog and characters, but like Jen, I understand they did what they could. I also think it's sweet how Savannah has Jen's same mannerisms and cadence when it comes to her expectations and final thoughts, yet seems to have Holden's laugh and sense of humor. The book isn't evil. In the 1st movie they said it was given to them by the Devil and we see now that wasn't the case. A lot of their history would've been made up by the townspeople who hated them. Magic itself isn't good or bad, it's how it is used.

I feel like the girls in this movie were kind of a rival coven of witches that were getting their footing obviously they are not the main event the main event are the three Sanderson sisters but as a kind of competing Force against the Sanderson sisters I think it was pretty interesting to put young witches that kind of knew what they were doing and we're more effective at fighting off the Sanderson sisters it was a pretty interesting take and I like the actresses I think they did a good job and they're acting was pretty good

The movie being in the movie kind of makes sense. The sisters had become a legend people had costumes of them so of course someone in the world would base a movie on them. The spellbook only contains evil spells it's the weilder that is evil. Also maybe the hook simply switched sides to prevent the spell being used knowing winnie would lose her sisters if they succeeded

I really like Hocus Pocus, took a swing at watching this one and...its alright. Some jokes are pretty funny, the rest is trying too hard I think. I only came back for the Sanderson sisters and the actresses chemistry and got that! I still don't know how Kathy can hold her mouth perfectly crocked and talk for takes, just as impressive to me 29 years later. This video was more entertaining though, thank you Holden and Jen for featuring Savannah! It was great to get her input and really made this family film feel even more so. I think the book didn’t want to complete the Power Maximum spell bc it knew the price Winifred would pay and it’s permanence. So I’m not surprised it sided with Becca at the end. I do think the book is still loyal to Winifred. Thats why it took convincing to revel the spell to kill her.

First, I enjoyed the reaction and yes I would love to see Savanna be involved in more reactions. Second, I do agree while the first film is such an icon that can never be replicated, I did enjoy the second movie. I did love how we got an origin, how they did things differently this time, but I also enjoy the fact that we got that maybe Winnifred wasn’t purely evil, but corrupted with good intentions. Keep in mind that, she fought the town to keep her sisters and that maybe she might’ve done the youth potion to keep all them from aging, because she knew her sisters wouldn’t fare well without her nor she without them. Finally, based on the end credit scene, it is most likely a third film will happen. I have a theory for the plot of the third film. You can also see that it’s possible that Mother never left as we see her raven form still flying. I speculate that she’ll come back into the picture and want to do far worse than darker things than the Sisters did. Maybe Becca will have to light the black flamed candle and bring them back. Therefore making them a hero. It’d also be nice if Thora Birch appears as Dani and has to work with Winnifred to save Salem again. Thora was set to returned but had conflicts. 💚❤️💜📖👁🕯

The opening of the movie was to show that she became a witch to protect her sisters. So the book loves them and didn’t want them to disappear knowing Winnifred would be sad. I take the ending has Winnifred being that sister in the beginning of the film.

I actually liked this one more than the first one. I think the messages are more meaningful, the references are perfect, and the characters that they gave us are way more grounded than the first. Winifred seeing that her mistreatment of her sisters all these years would have consequences makes her last and first moments have a new impact. I WAS surprised that Book wasn't what she cared for most, but her sisters are the better message. The new MCs will never be as good as Thackery Binx (I named my cat after him), but the other ones are better than Max and his annoying sister. I actually thought the first movie should have ended with ANY of the main cast getting magic, so I think this rectifies that, even if the message of "the real magic is friendship" was a little heavy handed.
