Anyone making a Poet's "Pen" / "stationery" pun will be immediately perma-banned. Heading off the questions: - No, you can't use Minion Instability. The minions are never reduced to low life. They're full, and then they're dead. - Why not SRS of Enormity? The spirits are created at your body, not at the cursor. You can't warp long distances with SRS. - Why not Perfect Dark Marionettes? Respawn time was nerfed to 4 seconds, we want more than 4 PER second. - How can you stand to play this? I'm built different.

How does srs of enormity HP look like in comparison? I can't find it on poedb

@@arturucka1959 quick test: on pob level 30 srs has ~18k life and level 30 zombie has ~24k life, so 75% of the zombie's life. since we scale regen and damage out of minion life, SRS is theoretically worse, though it frees up the glove slot (but we also loose 100% inc life, however we can use rare gloves which would be way cheaper so it might be a good alternative before mb).

@@arturucka1959 SRSoE HP is the same base HP as normal SRS, but with the more multiplier from the transfigured gem. IIRC zombies are just straight up better in terms of HP but I didn’t do a straight comparison on a graph or anything. I tossed out SRSoE when I found out you can’t warp long distances. HOWEVER, if you want to use similar mechanics but in a cyclone CoC setup so that it’s actually “playable” SRSoE is the way to go. You’ll sort of “flicker in place”

Reminds me of the Frostblink of Wintry Blast Poet's Pen builds from 3.23, except with Bodyswap, which seems more janky at first, but definitely seems to deliver much better damage. Only thing I'd change would be trying to go for CI, skip the maligaros minion shield thing, get kongmings stratagem and blind everyone. Am more down to earth and after removing all the expensive items like mageblood, saboteur jewel, voices, hubris with 3Xminion life and a non lv100 char, zombie life drops to 150k-ish and bodyswap is hitting 1.5mil 4 times so 6mil dps, which probably can be put together under 50div. another tech I've been playing around : archmage ignite frostblink of wintry blast using Stormfire for the ignite and maybe as chieftain (or some sort of marauder) for the ignite prolif from the explosions. definitely jank, probably would be better with just regular frostblink and bronn (aka hotstepper), or just archmage frostblink and some sort of explosion prolif.

In affliction I did very similar with transfig frost blink and massive aoe scaling. Used it for essence farming since I could fly to them. The minimum teleport distance made the whole experience incredibly silly.

Now this is why I follow your channel. This is exactly my kind of ridiculous engineering. Some questions: - Is the CDR from Like Clockwork better than the double trigger from Triggerbots? I assume it probably is since the 35% less damage multiplier from Perfect Crime is a pretty hefty hit. It might be entertaining with SRS of Enormity though, since IIRC they should be summoned on the Triggerbots instead of on you! - What about Raise Zombie of Falling? I'd guess the quadratic life scaling per level on the non-transfigured gem probably outweighs having a free glove slot? - You could probably get insane poison scaling from this, maybe even uber dot-capped. The only way I can think of to convert the damage though would be Original Sin or some sort of ridiculously convoluted combo of the Inextricable Fate boots, Grasping Nightshade tincture, and the Warden's Seasoned Hunter node, so that's a bit silly.

- I ruled out Triggerbots early so I don’t have numbers for you, but the big problem is mana costs. The base cost for minions is so high and reduced mana cost was gutted over the last three leagues. I can barely afford mana in this setup, no shot with Triggerbots. You *could* lifetap everything and be ok with Maligaros lens but it seemed bad to me on a hybrid life/es setup. - I did not test RZoF because I was strictly looking to maximize life. It’s possible RZoF is actually better. - Volkurs Guidance is an option. You’d probably want to use SRSoE and maybe just cyclone CoC since you can’t warp as well with it.

I would love to see you play around with "perma ward". I'v seen someone using insane amounts of mana/life burn stacks from tinctures (~1500k), combined with the mastery that grants 1% inc flask charges gained per mana burn and an iron flask with gain 3 charges when hit. Effectively letting you recover ward every time you are hit. Would be cool to see this implemented in a functional build if thats even possible.

No, you need the lower base cooldown from Poets Pen (0.25sec vs 0.6sec) to match Zombie and Bodyswap CDR. Bodyswap gets a bunch of movement skill CDR but that doesn’t apply to zombies so it’s cooldown would be more than 2x as long as

Does this start well and scale? Like would it be...semi-league startable provided you get an early Poet's pen and aukuna's will? Or do you think it would struggle too much progressing the atlas? I am definitely a Flicker player so I'm very used to 'starting clunky' and progressing til it's smooth, not sure if this build would follow that same kinda pattern or if it'd just be too rough to get going without investment.

Possible, yes but I don't think it's a good idea at all. Passive points are very tight, you need a ton of mana/sec to even enable the interaction and capping res/suppress will be hard with early league gear. I reused an old character that was already 100 so I don't know how bad it is at lower levels.

I'd probably start popcorn srs or some sort of cwc vd (or maybe even just pp vd if squire is cheap enough.) if it's just for the atlas cwc vd probably has enough damage and you just keep the minion life scaling for when you have enough

I wonder how this could be made more manual (as in you actually raise the zombie). How does a triggered bodyswap of sacrifice work with triggerbots? Also one thing in the defenses section. This build is perfect for using Artic Armour as a defensive layer, you are always stationary when it matters so your uptime in the phys&fire mitigation is very high.

before i watch the video, i wanted to ask if you have ever crunched the numbies on a wintertide brand that uses the necromancer cast speed ascendency. i tried it once on a wardlooper before they got nerfed and couldn't tell if it was actually doing very much good under all the projectile swarm and explosions and stuff. wintertide brand appears to have a lot of scaling potential but i've never seen anyone bring it out. would that interest you?

Im probably in for MB + 250div (I fractured the helmet myself in 2, could have been quite a bit more expensive). The good timeless jewels and some of the near-mandatory gear like +1 frenzy Aukuna's are going to be in short supply though and get expensive quick. TBH, its not really "worth" in a performance:price standpoint but I'm at the point of the league where I just want to burn money trying weird stuff. If you're not there yet, don't waste your currency on this

POB'd a bit, swapping determ for arctic armor also frees up a good amount of mana, even if you drop enlighten. You can then save some points on the tree that where for mana / mana cost and put them elsewhere.

You're right, AA is better. I'm not a fan of situational buffs, so went with Determination (in practice, you do end up walking around sometimes; looting, maze phases, etc). But given that AA reservation is half of Determination, it's probably the objectively better choice.

From PoB notes: “Bodyswap of Sacrifice effective trigger rate isn't calculated correctly by PoB. It thinks the spellslinger cooldown blocks the trigger which isn't the case.” 1.68 is the cooldown rate for activating the spellslinger skill itself. Once it’s turned on, its cooldown doesn’t matter, only the cooldown of the spell that it’s triggering

why not use that sceptre that gives +5000 life to zombies? you could have zombies with twice the life, and the only drawback is that you have to use lancing steel COC instead of spellsinger (Will still need an axe or a sword in main hand tho, but you can maybe use the rage on hit axe along with the helm that gives spell damage for rage)

It should be mostly fine, but I recycled a character so haven't tested it. You lose some damage because of -1 gem level in poet's pen and you'll probably need to drop down to the 4.32 APS breakpoint until you have enough passive nodes for movement skill CDR.
