OmG! I bet your husband LOVED the "thoughts" book you made for him! :) And I love that circle calendar stamp! I want to get one. LOL I love your daughter's sweet "art" page. :) I love the way your pages are "free"...no set format for each day. Very nice. Thanks for sharing. :)

Hi Marybeth, I just stumbled on your video and it made my day. I can hear happiness in your voice. I loved that you share your everyday in your journal. You wrote random thoughts for you husband everyday for a year and then gave it to him. WOW what a gift. It made me realize that we have so much to share with others. Now I want to do the same for my hubby :-)

Hi, Megan! Thanks so much!!! Oh you totally should! It'll even be fun to read yourself years later! I know I crack up when I look through my old journals, especially that "random thoughts" notebook I made that my hubby has in his closet. ;) So funny! XOXOXO

Had to pause the video when you got to the Mr Yuck sticker. Of course I know him. He was in my house and all over school when I was little. Never even would have thought that might just be a pittsburgh thing. It's great to have found a fellow project life, smashing, fauxbonichier from the Burgh! Loved your journal and the video! TFS. (And now I must find a Mr Yuck sticker for mine....)

I love what you wrote about your daughter's scribble and what we can learn from children, to just let go :) I had a chuckle about your husband and his snowblower…..how men can turn into boys when they get a new toy. It is hard to tell when my husband is happy as well as he is a big guy and to many, looks intimidating….but when he got his new snowblower, he snowblowed our whole back yard and all of the neighbours driveways….so cute

+TracysTreasures24 Thanks so much! And yes, it's funny the things I learn just from motherhood... She teaches me more lessons than I teach her! And men!! How funny!!! My husband's newest toy this year was a lawn mower- he was ridiculous! He got one of those big ones that have zero point turns and go super fast & when he got on it the first time, I could hear him laughing over top of all the noise as he just simply spun around in circles over and over. He looked like he was riding on a go-kart around our back yard. Boys. ;)

This remind me of this recent commercial, two women are sitting on a bench in the mall, talking. "Is your always so hyped up?", says one, "No, only when he comes here," says the other one. "Mine too!" "Okay boys, 5 more minutes and we're going home" "How old is yours?" *show a clip of two old men jumping into each other* "42." "Such a fun age, isn't it?" Boys will be boys, even if they are old, grown men.

Acid RainbowKittens I thought I'd also say this, i have Aspergers (a type of Autism) I'm 19 years old and I just got diagnosed about a year ago. Everyday I hear someone new has a child that is diagnosed. It was really scary for me at first and a lot of people in my life didn't know how to handle it. Some people still don't, and a lot of people believe I can't do things because of my Autism. Everyday I wake up just to prove to them I can do whatever I want no matter what stands in my way. My Autism just adds a little bit more glitter to my personality. I got a tattoo of a little puzzle piece to show support for Autism Awareness :) I just wanted to share this because you said you're daughter was diagnosed
@thehappyhancher9 жыл бұрын
Acid RainbowKittens Thank you thank you thank you for sharing that with me!!!! I was definitely scared when I first heard the doctor tell us that we needed to start some testing to see if our daughter was on the spectrum, but the more stories I hear like yours, the more I'm not just relieved, but GRATEFUL that I get to be a part of the autism community. :) I see such tremendous strengths in everyone I've met that has ASD, and I wholeheartedly agree with you that it does add a bit of "glitter" to your personalities. Ordinary is so boring. LOL! Maybe one day when my little one grows up, the two of us will go get some puzzle piece tattoos together. ;) I appreciate you telling me that! You keep on wearing that part of your personality with pride girl!

Omgosh I'm from Delaware and we called cleaning stuff and household chemicals Mr. Yuck... I'm 30 and I remember this from my childhood... I ask ppl about it recently like last year and some ppl know what I'm saying and some say no I never heard of that.. but I really think as kids we all stayed out of stuff bc of that.. now days all you hear about is kids getting into these kinds of chemicals.. I honestly believe we need this back.

Asia Cruise Thanks so much!! :) I actually got mine online from Barnes & Noble late last year... but it just burst at the seams after only using 1/3 of the book, so it might be a good thing if you can't find this same journal! hahaha I'd probably just stick with using any other journal if I were you. ;)

HI! really like what youve done with your journal. I've been using a miquelrius for a month too now and the pages are coming out. Has that happened with you?
@thehappyhancher8 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! That's exactly what happened to my book, too. I think mine lasted till the halfway point and then it started coming loose. Eventually it just completely fell apart. There were a lot of people that used this book and never had a page come out and then other people like us had ours falling apart pretty quickly. So I guess it's a gamble with this journal. Although I will say it's been a couple years since I used that book and I did miss it a bit, so I just bought another one. hahaha Maybe this one will stay together on me. ;)

This may sound like a silly question but every time I tried to print quotes from Pinterest they always print out huge ! I can never seem to get them to print it is 3 x 4 format . Can you tell me how you do it ?
@thehappyhancher9 жыл бұрын
+letellier1990 No, not silly at all! I had the same problem before. I actually had a program on my printer that allowed me to print 9 images to one 8.5x11 page, so that's what I was using for this book... Sadly, I had to get a new printer & the updated version of the printing program I was using doesn't give me that option, but I can at least print 2 pictures on one 4x6 piece of printer paper that I cut down and put in the slot used for printing photos. I have a Canon Pixma MX922 printer, & I use the program called "My Image Garden" that came with it. Hope that helps!! :)

@thehappyhancher9 жыл бұрын
When I was little, I had this little 35mm basic point and shoot film camera, and I spent a lot of time just snapping away photos of my family. :) So I got hooked on the excitement of getting my film developed early on. I didn't get a "big girl" DSLR until I could afford one myself after college, but I learned everything about photography over the course of a few years, and once my daughter was born, it really took off cause I had a cute little model with me at all times. ;) My heart is still stuck on film photography and I have a couple nice film cameras that I use occasionally, but it's just too expensive to shoot it all the time so I primarily just use my digital cameras. So yeah, that's my story. haha! :)

Hi, been watching a lot of your vids, loving it Could you help me out with what is happy mail & how do I get involved?
@thehappyhancher8 жыл бұрын
+CraftyMummy83 Hi! Thanks so much!! So happy mail is just a name people call sending snail mail to each other that contains something fun like craft supplies or things they like... The general concept of happy mail is that if someone sends it to you, you send them something back. The other side of it is that if someone sends you something that says R.A.K. on the envelope (random act of kindness), they just mean that they don't necessarily want or need you to send them anything back- they just mailed you something out of love. I hope that makes sense! I don't know if you're on social media like Instagram at all, but if you are, you can always look up hashtags like #snailmailrevolution to see if there is anyone on there that is looking for a penpal or someone to exchange mail with. On Facebook, there are probably many groups for things like that. I'm personally not in any anymore or else I'd link them for you, but I'm positive there are many out there if you searched for something like snail mail or penpals or something like that! :D
