I like that you used the "white-ish" grunge because it isn't all the same, just like when it really rains. Some thick clouds, some wispy clouds and so on. Thanks for sharing your ideas. The colors in this quilt are so beautiful, it helps that they’re my favorite color combination. The quilt turned out beautiful April I love it. And was it Oliver that dropped your Oliso iron? Naughty, naughty, naughty cat!

I knocked my Oliso mini off my ironing table. It still works. I would have cried, too! My studio has ceramic tile ( it came with our house). I absolutely dispise it. It's hard on my legs, and usually, whatever you drop is broken. I love having so much room, so I will make it work😂

Try softening the tile with area rugs or anti-fatigue mats. I got mine at Harbor Freight.

I really like both quilts! Your quilt does remind me of rain coming down to form a puddle. I think a couple of dragonflies appliqed on would look good, or any thing else like a lily pad and frog! If you don’t want anything else, it looks just beautiful!! The one your mother did looks great without any extras…maybe for one of your grand daughters!

Your quilt top reminds me of the ceramic tile walls of the 1950's. I don't think many of them are still around anymore. They had a very clean look to them. The last place I view some of these walls was in the C&O office building in Huntington, WV, back in 1979. It would cost a lot of money to make a ceramic tile wall like that today. A wall quilt will give the same effect and be easier to wash.

Not to be punny but this is a charming quilt. I love the raining charms look. its scrappy but gently scrappy. Both quilt tops are charming. I do prefer the solids top in the cooler color combo, but again both charm quilts work and make me smile. I love that you also mixed up the white background on the solids quilt top. Can't wait to see more videos from you.

I’m not laughing at your iron plight… ok a little but only cause I swear RIGHT HAND TO GOD I tripped over one of my a’hole cats about 2 weeks ago and dropped my cordless Panasonic iron and the water reservoir busted. I still give my cat a dirty look every time I see him. (Jk. He’s an angel he can do no wrong ❤❤😂)
