That Blade Saver is my favorite gadget! It makes me smile as I fly through those chain pieced squares snipping them apart. Being a flower makes it so adorable, too!

I wish it were my "Di" cutting machine! lol. I should have one since they're named after me, right?!?! Great video, I love HST's. I really like that the HST's cut on the die don't need to be trimmed up if you sew a perfect 1/4" seam which look doable. Again, great video!

You’re gonna make me an HST Master yet Miss April. Love love love this series. Can’t wait to see your final setting for this quilt. My favorite is 8 at a time but I really want to try the 32 at a time method. Thanks for all the tips and tricks along the way. 🤗🤗

Newbies have it SOOO easy these days. This is the original way to sew any block. But without the die cutter. You'd have to cut out your own templates, and don't forget to add the 1/4" seam allowance all around the template. You literally would trace it on the back of the fabric; and then using a straight ruler or a measuring tape draw another line 1/4" around the first. Then you'd use your fabric or pinking shears to cut it out by hand.

If you pair your fabrics, right sides together, you can just pick up a pair and sew them together.

I'm sorry; but, that cutting machine looks like it wastes a lot of fabric.

It costs alot of money to. 😕

It does waste fabric if you don’t cut your fabric to the recommended measurements.
