We run a small-ish 3d printing club at our school and yeah, we've come to the conclusion that Bambu Lab printers are FTW :P

The P1S should be printing better quality than the A1 and A1 mini - the stability of the components is significantly improved with the P series not slinging that bed. Sounds like something's off if that's not happening on your end. There's also a lot more to having an enclosure for printing drama queen filaments and helping to vent out the particularly nasty fume variants.

The a1 printers greatly reduced the vertical fine artifacts that show up on the P1P. They are more visible on shiny filaments. The coreXY should theoretically be better, but the a1 just has some improvements

@@JJShankles If you're getting z artifacts then follow the guides to clean the P1P and follow up with support as you may have bad z-leads. Especially on anything with height the P1P should be a noticeable upgrade from the A1.

How are you using a gamma master nozzle on a 2.85 Luzlbot toolhead? Slice does not make nozzles for 2.85 filament.

I was thinking of getting a Voron 0.2 this Black Friday. I want something able to print ABS. Already got a Chiron and i3 Mega S for PLA or PETG. BTW, @JJShankles you got rid of the i3 Mega?

I still have it, but it hasn't been turned on in a few years. It's more sentimental than useful now

I have P1s I would say the look much more aesthetic than the a1 with ams on the side. also I love the p1s overall coming from using only Creality printers for years.

Shame you cant get a anycubic kobra s1 yet. Or even a kobra 3 with ace system. Excellent printers, honestly think anycubic is going to be a contender for bambu lab competition, especially with the latest bambulab drama. Anycubic seems to be putting in a serious amount of stress testing on their new kobra s1 for once. The early bird price was also ansolutely insane, half the price of a p1s for a printer that somewhere between the p1s and the x1c. And their multi colour system is also a filament dryer. And they use rfid on their filament spools. And their filament is cheaper than bambu.

Don’t the p1s and a1 print at the same speed? also shouldn’t not print as fast because it’s a bed slinger
@JJShankles2 ай бұрын
Theoretically the bed slinger should be slower, but when I slice things with Bambu's default profile for each machine then the a1 is slightly faster. And they greatly reduced the vertical fine artifacts on there a1

I’m more of a fan of the p1s than the a1. The a1 has some great improvements but core xy is so much better that a bedslinger imo

Plus there's so much more opportunity to mod it. Take my P1S for example (I have a modding addiction :D)
