Thanks for another excellent review Chris. If I needed an HTPC I'd definitely order one of these, these Ryzens are just too good. I do need a cheap laptop though, anything on the way you want to tease? I was going to get a Teclast Tbolt 10DG or Chuwi Corebook Xe, but both have vanished from the surface of this planet, with no indication what happened. Did they cancel the production? Did they sell out so fast we missed it? Was there a quality or supply issue with them? Currently looking at the new Tbolt F15 Pro instead, but not gonna commit without seeing a trustworthy review from my favorite reviewer :)

I think it isn't possible to mount 2.5 inch drives on the upper side of the mounting frame. The WiFi antenna part will come in the way. It may be possible to mount one on the underside of the mounting frame using screws. One could mount one on the upper side in between the antenna points and using a sticky tape to hold it in place.

OK, I actually own this. I bought it direct from manufacturer, without storage or RAM. I planned to add three drives to it, one NVME SSD and two spinning platter 2.5" laptop style hard drives. The case only allows one (1) 2.5" format SSD or hard drive to be installed. And it's kind of an awkward installation for that ONE drive. It goes upside down on the bracket (that you have to remove first). Then, because the hard drive is upside down, the included cable to connect it to the motherboard is not easy to twist to the proper angles to connect. Also, getting the bracket back in with the hard drive attached is a bit tricky, as you have to snake it in below the antenna cables...but you don't have much slack from the SATA cables to allow you to do that. Also, the bracket is not very sturdy. You could easily bend it while trying to reinstall it. Again, before you purchase this know that it has only room for ONE 2.5" format storage device. If you watch the video and examine the hard drive bracket closely, where he says you can mount 2 hard drives...there are mounting holes perfectly spaced to support ONE drive on ONE side of the bracket. That is the only spot for a hard drive...the hard drive goes upside down on the bottom facing side of the bracket. On a side note....aside from only having room for one hard drive, this system is an awesome deal!!! VERY powerful. And quiet. Using 1TB WD black NVME, 16GB of G.Skill DDR4 3200 (2X8GB) and a single 2TB Seagate 2.5" hard drive.

Great that is does have the unlocked BIOS so you can put more dedicated memory to the graphics. Sad that the cooling on this otherwise great computer is kind of bad. Why did they not install a much larger (wider) cooler as that would fit a much larger fan. And why did they not install USB3 on the front ? These ryzen mini-pcs are looking great as you get much better graphics compared to Intel cpus. I hope they can improve this mini-pc with a upgrade to fix these issues, such a great small PC. In this ARM/Apple silicon age,its a shame this tiny PC can't even support more USB C / 3.2 ports to at least catch up with the modern standard. For the same price range we can get laptops from reputable manufacturers with a dedicated graphic card. May be, you can expand its ram and harddrive capacities alot easier, just in case.

I bought a 3-series Ryzen 5 mini-pc for my mother 6 months ago. She uses it as her HTCP and Windows PC. It has all/most of the oomph of a Ryzen 5 laptop but takes up so little room it's still surprising. She could even mount it on the back of her tv if she wanted. *That's* the appeal. More than enough power for any normal PC needs and even a bit of light gaming... all in a *tiny* package. It's basically the size of a triple DVD case. Tiny.
