We love the entire Heartwood Hotel series! It's the only read-aloud we've tried this year that both of my kids like.

Love this list and the warnings. We loooove the Martian. We did the young reader edition as well, but I still wouldn't let my 10yo daughter mention it as a favorite she read this year in your book club class😂😂 I know it was a bit old for her, but she probably loved it the most of anyone. She is now on a huge space kick, so it really made an impact.
