I didn't know CeraVe made an acne cleanser (other than the SA one) and now I need to decide if the benzoyl peroxide will be right for me or if I should just start with the foaming cleanser 🤔 as much as I like the YTTP cleanser, I'm skeptical it's actually helping out my cystic acne 😬

(i have oily skin btw) i tried SA spot treatments and they never worked! i switched my routine to using the foaming facial cleanser in the am, the benzoyl peroxide cleanser in the pm and a benzoyl peroxide spot treatment and my skin is doing wonders!! the spot treatment can cause dryness if you use it in areas where you don’t have acne, but the ceraVe cream fixes that right up within a day!

you should be using the gentle foaming cleanser am/pm, put SA in a treatment like paulas choice BA 2% toner, along with ample hydration like hyaluronic acid and use the hydrating cleanser in the winter/colder months.

The SA Cleanser was amazinggggg for clearing up the African black Soap break out galoreeeee. I never had terrible skin but it’s always been sensitive but after a period of time I developed a allergic reaction to the SA Cleanser and I was so sad 😞 because it literally was the key to my amazing skin along with niacinamide. There’s no fragrance and it’s clean, now I need a new CeraVe cleanser.

Thanks I really needed to see this video... Well some of the mistakes that I've made with cleansing my skin, I've use Aveeno the little scrubbing pad and honestly the pads they've always cut my face up and irritated my skin and it made a lot of blemishes and I got a lot of texturized skin... Also I've used noxzema that did not work for me, I've used the clean & clear lemon facial cleanser, that did not work for me, and the garnier cleanser is paraben-free and I've used that and it actually worked for me. Currently I'm using dove beauty bar and it's so far so good, but I'm going to try CeraV cleansers. I've heard a lot good things about CeraV, so I'm going to give them a try because I do need a cleanser that's gentle on my skin but can fight acne and my hormonal acne. I get a lot of hormonal acne around my chin area and that's a problem and I I have a lot of textured skin on the sides of my face and I hate that. I use hyaluronic acid serum and this hyularonic acid toner by Elf and it's really good. I do use witch-hazel sometimes it does help balance my oily to normal skin so.... I also use vitamin c and I use a moisturizer serum by Kate Somerville and Hey Honey. So I try to stay on top of serums and moisturizers, but I'm a skincare junkie and I have so much skin care stuff so I don't know where to begin or end so I do need help with that. I just want to get a good regiment down packed so I can clear my skin.

one big mistake I made was applying tea tree oil to my face after cleansing to remove access dirt. I did it for about a week until I was realizing my skin was getting so dry and scaley like. it was gross and left some hyperpigmentation. but I immediately stopped and and its much better now

you have to remember that when trying new products your skin will begin to purge because the extra oils and gunk is being brought to the surface, so give it atleast a month then you should see some improvements. also don’t forget to patch test when trying a new product
@inkavoutilainen2210
@inkavoutilainen2210 4 жыл бұрын
Liyaa Seals I thought purging only occurs when using actives like exfoliants/retinoids/etc.? At least that’s what I gathered from her video about purging vs irritation. I should patch test more than I currently do not gonna lie but in the case of these cleansers the unfortunate effects only started occurring after a few uses so I’m afraid patch testing wouldn’t have made me aware of them beforehand :/

Thank you for the video, very informative Question: Can you alternate between the Renewing SA cleanser and Acne foam cleanser? Or just use one of them and alternate it with the hydrating cleanser to not dry out the skin completely even tho I'm oily.

I have been using the acne “foaming” cleanser for about 2-3 weeks now and I truly have not been breaking out like I used to. I’m 42 and get those large, inflamed, painful bumps and I swear this has worked wonders for me. I use it everyday and of course for at least 60 seconds and love it. ❤️ My skin is super soft afterwards. I’m don’t think alone it gets my face as clean as I’d like but I do double at night. I will definitely continue to use. I do wish it was actually foaming. I mean it foams a little but not enough to have foaming in it’s name. lol!
