👋 Hey skincare nerds! 👋
This week I’m here to help you figure out which of the drugstore favorite CeraVe cleansers is best for you. We’ll be comparing CeraVe’s foaming facial cleanser, renewing SA cleanser, hydrating cleanser and their new hydrating cream-to-foam cleanser. They’re all under $20!
〰️
I’ll also help you figure out what skin type you have, but feel free to just skip to the cleansers part!
EDIT: I agree sensitive skin can be classified as a skin condition and not a skin type but to keep it simple I am including it as a skin type because that is how the brand classifies it. www.cerave.com/skin-smarts/sk...
〰️
Also, please share your experiences with the CeraVe cleansers in the comments section because it might help someone else! 🧼🧴

In the past, my face looked dull. However, I managed to achieve radiant skin, free from pimples and dark spots, by adopting these practices. -: 1. Drinking water at least 3 to 4 liters per day. 2. Adding carrots or carrot juice into my daily diet. 3. Adding Littlextra Ricebery face wash into my daily skincare routine. It contains black rice water, which has been shown to provide 10 times more skin benefits than ordinary white rice water. 4. Joining the gym and sweating a lot. 5. Performing facial steam or full-body steaming sessions every 18 days.

I just love the riiceberry face wash; it truly makes the skin smooth. Post using this, the skin will not feel dry. This has quickly become my favorite face wash. I've been using this for approximately 20 days now. It is good for all skin types.

Wash your face with your regular cleanser. And then, after 2hrs, try to stick tissue in your forehead, cheeks, chin, and nose. If it stick, that means you have Oily skin. If none stick, you have Dry skin. Lastly, if some sticks, and some not, you definitely have combination skin.

I have tried numerous facewashes, but none worked as good as littlextra rice berry face wash. It's made with black rice and white mulberry, which brightens and gives immediate glow to my skin. It's gentle, has a pleasant smell, and natural. It cleans my face really and makes it smooth and bright. Plus, it helped reduce my acne too.

I used to have clear skin. However, lately, I began developing acne breakouts. I didn't know that my harsh face wash I used was in fact drying up my skin. Once I replaced it to this mild cleanser and added a moisturising cream with it, every single one of my breakouts stopped. Thanks Litttleextra rice berry.

Thanks for the video. I've been using the wrong one for years! The foaming one is simply too drying for me even though I do have combination skin with some oily areas, it was way too drying on other areas of my face. I've since switched to the normal hydrating one and had to throw away the foaming one.

Me too! But now I use the cream-to-foam but it kinda doesn’t take off all the oil and I’m debating between using the foaming the morning! Although I had to stop using it bc it stripped my cheeks(which are dry) and it gave me a broken skin barrier and it took 2 weeks to fix so idk!

I have a water reminder app to keep me hydrated enough and I've been seeing changes after drinking way more water than usually. As for skin care SA cleanser would be good one to treat it. However many have said to use it 3 times a week at night especially if u have sensitive skin

Hi Cathy! Do you think it would be acceptable to use the Cream to Foam cleanser with the CeraVe PM moisturizer? They both have Niacinamide for regular nights. And for exfoliating nights I would use hydrating cleanser > Retinol 0.2 > cerave moisturizing cream. I have eczema but also cystic acne from masks these days. You're videos and delivery of knowledge is so wonderful!

I would recommend the SA Cleanser! .Also the goal when we have acne and hyperpigmentation is to try and focus on the acne, because I find that often- a lot of the products that are for hyperpigmentation tend to be a little harsh and might aggravate acne, which is not our goal because it would just be continuing the cycle of it leading to dark spots. I feel like the SA Cleanser works good at gently exfoliating while not stripping the skin. Combo that cleanser with their SA cream :)

I love that you mentioned dehydrated-combo, after I began wearing masks at work and working long hours I would forget to drink water and the lower half of my face began to flake which hurt and looked awful. I thought my skin type was now becoming dry but I guess I just need to drink more water and I’ll have regular combo skin type.

I have always used the cerave facial foaming cleanser and it’s always worked for me. I have combo skin. Maybe slightly more on the oily side than dry side. But still both. Not to long ago I needed my face wash because I was out and they didn’t have the usual foaming cleanser so I got the hydrating one to try and it went AWFUL for my skin! Pimples popped up everywhere lol. So that just proves that the facial foaming is the only one for me 😂

Hi! I have a question :) I new to skin care and I bought the second cleanser you talked about, the one with salicylic acid. I use it once or twice a week with my dry/sensitive skin. Can I use more of a moisturizing cleanser for the rest of the week or is that first cleanser I mentioned enough? Do I need to cleanse everyday! Help! 😂☺️✨

This was so useful thank you! I’ve used the OG hydrating cleanser before and was wondering if I should try another or just get the same one. I’ve also just purchased the paula’s choice BHA exfoliant to try and help with my breakouts and wondered if the salicylic acid one would be too much using it alongside that too... will probs just stick to the OG hydrating one because it was great! I personally don’t like foam on a cleanser and this one just had a really nice soothing gel texture that was really satisfying for me x

I love the hydrating cleanser for every day use (especially now that I'm inside all day don't wear make up etc). But a foam cleanser is better for removing makeup etc. So I have two different cleansers to balance it out depending on what I need.

Has the hydrating cleanser helped with your acne? (If you had any in the first place) just wondering because I’m using that one and I can’t tell if I’m seeing results! Be as honest as possible aha

@@kaylynnveniot5874 well I had specific zits on my forehead , cheeks and chin with puss that came and go.. ( so not acne all over my face). I also had and still have some acne scars bc I used to pick them. I've been using Cerave and the ordinary products and I don't get any zits theast couple of months or when I get they go away very quickly. So tbh I'm not sure if it's the soap or he combination of products I'm using but it works for me. ( I have combination skin i think). I don't know if that helps.

We will see what happens during the fall and winter months- I may switch to the Pm lotion for the day as the cream it just crooked heavy until Jan. Thank you for all your research. I use the Foaming gel cleanser and it’s very gentle yet effective. If I feel like my face needs and extra scrubbing effect yet gentle I use a lathered paper towel and use it to cleanse my face. You can really see what was on your face in the paper towel. I Afterwards it makes ur face very smooth and clean. Then I usually apply oil moisturize and prevent face from over drying. I thought this would help for my fellow oily face type.
