I ordered his 2nd video because of this episode of color up. I wish I had waited till you reviewed it because it was worthless. A waste of money. It is one big advertisement to get you to spend $50 on his first DVD. He did not teach anything new, just reviewed a bunch of strategies that are already free on you tube. Color up far surpasses his instructional information and uses actual dice rolls to demonstrate each strategy where as John never rolls dice a single time. Very disappointed. And no need to buy the first DVD since you have covered his strategies on color up.

Mike Green I think his 2nd dvd covers many different strategies, that maybe I also cover, so if you follow my channel consistently, maybe you do not need that one, but for the general craps player I think it’s helpful. He does offer his opinion on each strat, as a dealer and has seen it all. I almost never give my opinion and just haven’t seen these strats under real world rolls for any significant time. Now I completely disagree about the first dvd, I may have covered his strategy but don’t do it justice, he rolls for at least an hour covering many different scenarios that I didn’t cover, he also covers many other informational topics and I highly recommend it. I have also just watched his “dealer” video, it has a lot of info and I’m going to have to watch multiple times. Great stuff in my opinion.

Get mad if only 1 dice hits the back wall an make u reroll a great hand that almost always was paying BIGBIGBIG 2 U !! Also repeats YO 11 really strange! Like if we was out in public an i heard him say that out loud i would move a few feet away from him or at least make myself self aware of all exits near me! Some will whisper to you while selecting you 2 dice out of 5 which one not to select, but i believe that last 1 is a inside joke ment to get more tips if they roll big on the first out. Also a tip on when you call the dice, don’t call the numbers that make the total first, always call the total and then you can say the numbers that make the total. Example - (six rolls 4-2) say “six easy, came 2 by 4 the lumber number” also never say “and it’s a seven and we’ve got a 9” always say the number first and then say whatever you want after. It will avoid any confusion for your listeners and watchers and make smoother and faster action for your videos. Don’t forget to show your subs how to tip their dealers too. Great presentation btw, good production quality. Keep up the good work.

Anywhere you slice it, the house has the advantage and every single role. You have to have long extended rolls to make money and then you can certainly give it back with some more cold shooters. Any strategy works great when the table is hot and it works like shit when the table is cold. No different on the don'ts. When the tables hot you don't win the table is cold you win but then everybody leaves the table. If you manage your bank real well you won't get her too badly, but look at it as entertainment and not I get rich quick scheme! Now if you know how to control the dice and only have a couple people at the table, that might be a little different story

No offense but this system seems like the "stay n play" and sort of break-even over time. It's great if you want some action on a players card and stand around having drinks. I like the $75 don't come method better for quicker action. This seems safer and easy to follow. I just don't see doubling or tripling the bankroll here. I like playing the game but I want to double my money if possible on a craps table. This system is kind of like sitting at Pai Gow and just breaking even and drinking. :) Nothing wrong with that!

Any strategy that requires longs streaks to pull in a good profit doesn't work much at my casino when I'm playing( I play 2-3 times a week). Most shooters get 3-5 good rolls before they seven out. I like that this strategy is fun to play. If table is hot enough, I would go off on my bets after 5 good rolls. Might even collect more often vs pressin up. Also at some point if you are making point #'s would take the winning and put ODDS on it. $25 pass line with no odds..??? why not $10 pass with $15 odds ($16 for 5/9) Just some ideas, but nice concept. Thanks for the video. I just came back from Vegas an saw a layout at the Craps table in the Excalibur that was very interesting. They called it No Craps Craps! What they have done is eliminated the don't pass line! Then they added the 2, 3 , 11, and 12 as place bets! So the Come line doesn't lose on a 2, 3, or 12. The bet moves up to the number just like the 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10. It was a 5 dollar table on a Saturday night! Being a Sith Lord (playing the DarkSide) I didn't like this layout! But I understand why the casino has done this since most people play the pass line so why not get rid of the don't pass line. So now you can place 52.00 across all the numbers. The payoffs are 6/1 for the 2, 3, 12, and 5/1 on the 11. Wild stuff! What do you think?
@ColorUp5 жыл бұрын
Stephen Scisney most places call it “crapless craps” anyway, some of the outside points pay a little less than they should and the house edge is higher than “normal” craps for those points, but the 4 -10, whether you pass or place bet are the same I believe. The stinky part is when you get a 2 or 3 as the point, chances of hitting are slim, and that’s why payoffs are higher.

This is a fun strategy and you definitely get a bit of action, I would modify this to only play the pass line if I was offered the dice and only if I could place decent odds behind it. I would also focus on the 6 and the 8 as those two numbers will be your bread and butter. I wouldn’t full press anything but at the same time I would go up a unit or two after each number hits to recoup some money here and there. And for gods sake, never play the field it is one of the worst bets in the house even if you hedge it. Great vid btw.

Actually on this layout because the 12 pays triple on the field it is a better wager (house advantage wise) than placing the 5,9 or 4,10. Sometimes I like running a Labouchere on the field - lots of action. If I want to slow things down I’ll up the bet and do this on the Don’ts. The thing about this strategy is I'll call it the "ima live forever" strategy. It takes too long before you can begin to see any profits as you are waiting hit after hit to add $5 at a time so by the time you start to recoup, the odds are against you because you are on the 5th or so roll and the average roll lasts 8.5 rolls. This is kind of like the mentality that some people have that waste their lives hedging and saving and preparing for a future, little by little, then bam that future gets erased by a metaphoric point 7.
@larryk18653 жыл бұрын
LOL! Love the ILF moniker. But the dumbest thing about this strategy it seems to me is continually pressing the pass line bet after hitting several points. If you want to do that, just put more free odds behind the line. At least the payoff is better if you hit the point. I swear, I really don't understand how some of these strategies can claim to be "strategic."
@midnightmadness66765 жыл бұрын
I used my $25 -5 $30 - 6 &8 $15 field for two rolls and down strategy and was up over $100 each time before you 7d out. Ended up $70 ahead at end of video. Now I will figure out what you would of had if you pulled down your bets after two hits.
@gustavonieto46324 жыл бұрын
Fun strategy, I like the idea of aiming to use earnings and lowering the risk of losing one's bankroll. I don't get 2 things though: 1) Once all the place bet numbers are covered, pressing each place bet after it hits itself and racking after it hits itself again seems like prolonging an already risky long run (it feels like falling into gamblers fallacy), I'd rather press once (inner numbers first regardless of which # hits) and rack next (again, regardless of #), and rinse and repeat. 2) Stacking the winnings of the pass line onto itself instead of the odds: I assume because the aim is to get a winning come out 7/11 roll with said winnings where you can't yet bet the odds, I'd rather save the front line winnings and add them to the odds upon hitting a point, even though there are better probabilities of a natural 7/11 than craps on come out, there are still more probabilities of hitting a point number than craps or natural 7/11 on come out roll, thus better pay on odds than just flat bet. After hitting the point, sevening out will will still lose bettor all the bet on the front line regardless whether it was on odds or flat out pass line, hitting the point will earn bettor more though. All different tastes and approaches I guess.

Nice, I like this one, I have been messing around with a slight variation, for the pass line betting I am using the field bet strategy and progression from your video, "Make $100 every time." Starting the pass at 2 units vs the single units at the 6, 8 and field start. Also, some interesting Vegas notes for places to play live and test strategies. Santa Fe Station has a craps machine that doubles as a roulette machine where the minimum bet is $.25. And if you want to play speed craps the Tuscany casino has single player boggle style craps with $1 minimum and you can play as fast as you can go.
@polarbear3535 жыл бұрын
I have played that strategy lots of times with the exception of I start taking down the outside bets after a few rolls, the 4 and 10. One or two rolls later I take down the 5 and 9. If you've made it that far you have obviously made profit so you can leave the 6 and 8, unless you have pressed it several times then maybe take them down. All of this of course depends on a long roll.
@ColorUp5 жыл бұрын
Sounds good, like the variations.

I gotta say, this video was the perfect depiction of every craps table I've ever been to. Either back to back Point>Seven>Point>Seven shooters with nobody getting a chance to really play and tossing your money to the casino, or Seven out just as things start to look up and you're building up for a good run only to get wiped out again. Craps is by far my favorite game in the casinos but every time I've played for the last three years I haven't been able to enjoy myself (which is all I really go for) because it's just lose lose lose. Craps tables used to be energetic and fun, now whenever I go there's no cheers, no joy, just everybody nervous the shooter's gonna seven out instantly before they can even collect on their bets. To me I think that's were casinos are losing their clientele, sure there shouldn't be an expectation of winning, but there should at least be a hope of winning, and when you create an environment where there's no sense of hope, the games aren't fun anymore. It's not just Craps either, I've seen more Blackjack dealers give themselves 20s up to eight hands in a row and not give anyone a single face card, I watched $1 slot machines play a whole $100 worth of spins and not even hit a cherry to break even, and I've seen pocket Aces lose at Three Card and ultimate Texas hold'em tables more so these last few years than the five to six years prior.

I've been messing around with this strategy and found an interesting variation. If you bet 2 units on the 6/8 (or 6/5, 8/5) at the beginning, you can offset any field loss and use the winnings to replace your field bet and get another number up.
@ColorUp4 жыл бұрын

Its a bit more risky, but I've found that the risk/reward pays extremely well on a good roll. especially if you can get the 5 covered with two units first. Of course, now that Im locked in my house all day, Ive been trying a bunch of different strategies, but I like this one the most. Definitely aggressive.
@brucelee93464 жыл бұрын
I can see placing the 6 & 8 and field & pass line and if you win the 6 or 8 pressing them then covering the 5 but as for the 9 I think staying in the field as long as the 5,6,8 are covered is better as the risk is the same and the payout seems the same. and if you use more winnings to cover the soft 4 & 10 cover the Hardways 4 & 10 as well. and press the Hardways and field when they win and when they lose go back to the minimum bet on them.
@shahmatsimplex41445 жыл бұрын
I dont know if you already have a video on a similar hybrid system I play, but its worth a test even though I use it only when I shoot with dice control. Lets use $5 units. I load all numbers with a unit but with two units on the 6 and 8 plus one on pass line with all bets on on the comeout. $49 investment. I look to hit 5 times or 4 if it hits point on the 4th roll. Then I take off all bets to lock in a small profit and continue on with John Boenders favorite craps strategy until I seven out which ends my session. If you use a hardway set and can initially consistently roll 5 times without a 7, you will make money.
@shahmatsimplex41445 жыл бұрын
Even with random rolls its a fun game. The fact that you are placing your maximum initially with all bets on puts a smile on the crews faces. That extra dollar is a bet for the dealer, so $50 investment, but that doesnt count when play testing. If I bomb out within 5 rolls which occasionally happens, I leave. If I roll past five, that means I go home a winner. I live 5 minutes away from the casinos, so I have the luxury of picking my times and spots of when to play, and play $25 units.

I played a variation of this on my last casino trip. $10 table and basically just doubled all the bets. One addition is a bet a $35 don't pass on the come out instead of the pass line bet. I would then place the 6 and 8 for $12 each, make a $10 field bet and then also either place the point for $10 OR go ahead and place the 5 for $10. On long rolls that didn't make points, I killed it of course, on short 7 outs I was good because of the don't bet. And on rolls that shooters hit 2 or 3 points, honestly I didn't lose too much because they were hitting lots of numbers too. I'll also say that after my 5, 6, and 8 got up to like $24 or $48 (20 and 40 for the 5) I would bring back the field bet. Nothing like a 4, 9, or 10 hitting and you collecting $$$ in multiple spots and then when the non field numbers hit, I was making a profit still because the size of my 5-6-8 bets. And then on one roll, I had a shooter just park his rolls on the "4" and I made ALOT of money......most profitable night for me. I got the "4" up to an $800 bet and hit on the $800. I didn't have the balls to double that, but was really happy for the rolls. One additional question about etiquette........On this particular roller that was hitting the 4, I had made ALOT and am a very fun guy as far as bets are concerned as far as placing bets for dealers......After I think I'm up to $400 on the 4, I think I put the dealers like $25 or $50 on the 4. They of course are loving it.....as we are celebrating the next 4 that is hit, I look down and the shooter has a pass line bet and then maybe 30 behind in odds. I'm having a blast, making cash, and this guy is doing it for me......I want to get him involved in the fun. I've done this a couple of times making a $50 4 bet for the shooter and I think I put up a $12 6 and 8 for the shooter. He got a few hits but then sevened out.......when you want to bet for the dealer, is it proper to do it then or approach them after and slide them just some chips. Again, I've placed bets a few times for shooters, and I would always love for a bigger better to throw money my way, but then again, I could see how it could throw a shooter off......what's the thought in here on whether to put money up for the shooter so he can see it......
@patricklanham46465 жыл бұрын
that last question should be when you want to bet for the shooter

Question: Wouldn't it be better to keep track of your winnings on the pass line and take those YO and 7's and move them to odds instead of stacking? Two things, you're getting paid better, and you dont have to waste money on protecting your hi pass line bet with the craps bet. Also: I'm not stacking a pass line bet when I can take that $5 and put it on the 10 (last number needed) in the scenario around the 30:30 mark. Outside of that, I love this strategy because you can play a really long time and maybe catch a couple $200 rolls. I love your videos. I'm a huge fan. You've taught me so much.
@aebalc5 жыл бұрын
I understand not taking the pass line odds with this strategy. Many times I have seen a shooter have a hot streak of 7's/11's on the come out rolls. The max odds bettor just racks the $5 wins (nothing to get excited about) and it feels like the game really doesn't start until a point is established. When that happens with this strategy the pass line quickly grows to $35 or $50 and this strategy does not want to put an additional $50 from the rail at risk for odds. Minimal risk with a shot at huge rewards with a hot roll. As for all the 2 hits and down comments - Of course do what works for you, but I only get to a craps table a couple times a year and I have no interest in grinding out a few hundred dollars, I want a shot at the big win. For me it feels great to start with $22 at risk and wind up having that 4 get hot and quickly having a $100 buy on it. I really don't want to go home up $300 dollars when a potential $10000 roll comes around.
@dontswin5 жыл бұрын
-A $10000 roll comes around? Are you kidding or something? When that type roll comes around you will LIKELY NOT EVEN BE at the right table, never mind being in the casino at all! Especially since you're only at a casino 'a couple of times a year'. Forget about that amount, it's not gonna happen! Concentrate on being part of a $300 to $500 roll especially if you're betting from the $5 level. Unfortunately, you're a bigger dreamer than me. Readjust your thinking, good luck to you anyways. @@aebalc

I kinda have to agree with you. This is for recreational players. That's not a bad thing, it's just not for me. I get long rolls usually once or twice per outing. This would kill on those! But I'm a 2 hits and down with 1-300 profit better. I usually hit 2-3 shooters in an hour and head for the door. It's really not a bad strategy for new players though, and if your on one of my great rolls you will make enough money you will be hooked forever!

The only suggestion I would have to how you're playing this way is after you got everything correct and all the numbers covered collect no more than one or two rolls pull everything down and just cover the six and eight building your profit a lot quicker
@arlenestanton99554 жыл бұрын
I have watched many of your videos. You built all the numbers up, which takes time, then start to take profit. How about start out high, say $18 on 6 and 8 and if you hit, take the profit and reduce to $12. Hit again, take profit reduce to $6. Wait for the 7, or built up again, $6 a time, if there is a long roll but you have your money out of the game

Love the videos! Your videos are well done, and I like how neutral you are in presenting different strategies. I play a lot of different strategies depending on the table and my mood. Usually when I first step to a table, I play the dark side. Most often I play 2 points with a don't pass followed by a dc. I will lay 2 units odds on the 4 and 10, 1 unit on 5 and 9, and no odds on the 6 or 8. However, I also typically place any open inside numbers after the come out roll. I consider it a conservative strategy. What are your thoughts? I have had some people at the table tell me it is a great strategy, but I have had others tell me it isn't.

I didn't even know this was a thing! I do a similar thing here in vegas, except I never did any research just figured it out how to play on the houses $ haha. I just play it a little safer 5 6 8 from start and field bet to cover 4 and 10 and use all winnings towards point odds. I don't press just recoup and rest of $ goes towards the point odds. Makes super good cash! The craps dealers and pit boss always make a comment on my play style that's how you know its a good one if it pisses them off 😂. I like odds play style better because as almost every table you will 9/10 run into a short shooter who will only hit 1 or two points and crap out. Anyone willing to try my play style will for sure get some money! Haha

Well... I have played about 50 hands of this on a simulator. The vast majority of the hands were losers, a few were winners and one hand was one of the magic rolls we all dream about, where I had pressed all the numbers up to $100 and they kept hitting. $5 turned into about $1500. But there was a lot of losing on both sides of that. I think the big problem with this is the number of rolls it takes to get all of the numbers covered and “paid for.” Most hands are shorter than that. If you can deal with losing a couple hundred bucks almost every time you play, just to get that really special hand once in a blue moon... this could be your strategy

Sounds great in theory but most Casinos have an average of 3-5 rolls per player. This would only work if the shooter is HOT and rolls 20+ times... otherwise you can load 5-9 (Buy 4 or 10 with 1 winnings) & call off your bets after 2 or 3 rolls! Rinse, Repeat & keep in mind only parlay 2 or 3 times over 3 numbers before a craps shooter hits 7, after point is established (Ratio on average is 1:3 points made) :D
@ColorUp5 жыл бұрын
Average roll is 8.5 according to mathematicians(includes come out winners). Of course for that average there has to be many short rolls in 3-5 roll range as you say. If you are more comfortable regressing your bets, thats a great way to play. With this strategy you are really just looking for the homerun big win.
