I like these types of replays where you can do a more in depth analysis. It was interesting to see the exact moments where Fantasy changed his tactics based on his scans and scouting.

Agree. Actually, prefer it a bit as the game quality will naturally be higher compared to random replays you didn't see yet.

That was an interesting game. Honestly I would love to see these types of games thrown into the mix. I understand it may be difficult to find gems like this where you can provide deep analysis, but if you could manage it every Sunday or every other Sunday that would be awesome.

What I like about this channel very much is that there are no cheesy attempts to lure a viewer in. Each of us has a rough idea of what to expect when clicking on a video and it's just quality-persistent content.

starcraft broodwar is the best form of entertainment on planet earth and getting to learn more about how the game is played is awesome. content like this where you get to dissect the game down to a deeper level is so enjoyable. im always looking for a better understanding of the game even though im a non-player and just a avid fan of the sport

If you're excited to show a game you've seen before, chances are we would like seeing it too. After all, I see you, in part, as a curator, bringing us the best games so that we don't have to go hunting ourselves.

This was a great idea but don’t stop here. Don’t be shy! Show us your most recent and all time favorite replays you got! Fantasy is a beast! He’s one of the most exciting terran players and to me he’s was the second best Terran right below Flash before SC2 came and ruined things.

great format. i watch a lot of historic boxing matches where even I know the outcome but they're still interesting because you see how it happens and the caster knows exactly where the highlights occur. this might be one of my favorite casts you've done so I vote for more .

Great to see the in depth review! I felt pain each time an observer was taken out. Toss had no vision and it’s tough attacking into a tank field of unknown depth. Poor goons I don’t know why Terrans don’t spend more focus doing this. It’s so crippling. It’s like when Toss learned they can blind Zerg map vision with corsairs. (Also, for any terrans reading this please disregard)
@railenmiles6 ай бұрын
They ought to be crippling when taken out. They're freakin invisible
@TheSuperappelflap6 ай бұрын
Because those sneaky protoss bastards always find these hiding spots where you cant see the observers or pull them away at the last second and if you use all your scans to hunt observers frikkin invisible men run into your mineral lines
@vitaminamulti6 ай бұрын
because a better protoss would go around and attack the expansion

Hi Arty! I think it's great to mix in games you've already seen because you have a greater knowledge of the game and the analysis is second to none. This is one thing I feel like Scan does exceptionally well in his casts, his attention to detail and explanation is excellent and this cast reminded me of that detail.

I think this works as a nice mixup Arty! It's fun to see games where you can go really in depth on the analysis, like the Starport Wraith swap and the reasoning behind it. Just throw these in every once in a while to spice things up. Edit: I also think throwing in some commentary of key ASL matches from the previous season could be fun, you've seen it once but now you can go really in-depth on specifics.

This cast was great, RT. The analysis format is compelling and you're a world-first analysis caster. It works as well as Day[9] Dailies ever did, even without the hour format and multi-game prep.
@BLooDCoMPleX6 ай бұрын
There is no problem with casting games that you have already seen as long as you're giving us that information up front. I think most people have an aversion to casters knowing about a game's outcome beforehand because they either ruin the experience by spoiling how the game is going to end, or in even worse cases pretend that they haven't seen the game and fake enthusiasm as you have put it (it's usually very easy to tell when that happens). These sorts of casts can be very useful for people who want to see more and deeper analysis of certain strategies or styles by showcasing specific games that you think are worthy of sharing. I wouldn't mind seeing more showcases like this one. Fantasy's decision making is exceptional. In his current form I don't know if in he can keep up with the speed of top level players when it comes to mechanical stuff, but his play is very efficient and accurate. I would love to see him come back and commit to SC1 and go up against other pros.

@sulik6826 ай бұрын
I enjoy this type of commentary quite a bit. Also commentating your OWN games, pausing and talking about strategy decisions etc is a great way to recap. Not every day sure but especially when you're in those NAPL tournaments and have a decent game I think we like the "peel back the curtain" element and see what goes in to your decision making during your games rather than just the tight chin and silence whiel watching your 1st-person perspective (which is fun but a change of pace not quite my speed tbh)

The use of vultures here is extremely impressive this game. I noticed the discipline in getting efficient trades and not overcommitting, and when Fantasy did want to fight for longer, it would be right before a reinforcement cycle of vultures to keep the numbers up.

It's such a fascinating game, but personally I would never gg when I have 3000 minerals and 1500 gas. I mean, in this case protoss is almost hopeless, but I'll still atleast try to expend these resources before I resign, it just feels like such a waste if I don't.

Artosis - with the ladder IDs the replay shows for these games, it can sometimes cause confusion when you use the 'real' player names. Is it possible to add the 'real' player names somewhere on the replay, maybe just an overlay somewhere using the same layer as your watermark name, perhaps near the stats in the top right?
@holz_name6 ай бұрын
ok but the toss was a bit lame. Not sending his dragoon out to harass because dragoons outrange bunker, not getting arbiters, no sky transition, no reaver drop, nothing.

@ArtosisCasts if you build with an scv from the exact same starting location does it travel in the same pattern every time? I'm just wondering if it's maybe not as random as it seems. It feels like the best pro gamers seem to know where the scv is going to move before it does

I really enjoy curated replays even though I understand it can be less enjoyable for you. But relying on luck to see new stuff (like that weird mech build) is chancy. So even if it was a known strategy, like a mech switch but perfectly executed is just as interesting as seeing Soma experimenting with 9 hatch.
