More great value from you and your site - one great thing is I know you have had a major play around (i.e. brought your professional experience to it) with all of this audio bling. Cool thanks.

While I love my Fab Filter, Kush, etc. products, I wouldn’t be much of an audio engineer if I couldn’t make a good sounding record using only Avid stock plugins. I use the compressor, D Verb and multi delay every day.

The solo band feature on the eq7 is so useful I use it all the time. And d verb!

Great video. I really like the Youlean Loudness Meter for LUFS monitoring. The scrolling spectrogram window does a great job of indicating clipping points. That Transient Shaper is great on a drum buss. Less is definitely more with it. 100% agree on the Tokyo Dawn stuff. Another I like is Outlaw lite from W.A. Production. I've also started using the stock PT trim plugin just as a clipper on my drums bus. Jordan from Hardcore has a cool video on how it can work well for this.

Oh this is interesting. You wouldn't happen to have a link to Jordans vid on this?

on the odd occasion i will add modulation effects, i really like the avid chorus and flanger plugins. they both have a "make it fatter" preset which always seems to do the trick!

HOFA isn't actually free - its freeware bundle misleadingly requires a 'license' for 90% of its actual functionality in pro tools.
