Exterminator CAN crit if you increase the base critical chance. The main weapon just STARTS at 0% critical chance. Look at the weapon stats after taking the buff.

One thing that Asmon is missing is how OP Block is! Block works just like any rpg, you were supposed to take a damage, but if your block number is higher than the attacker the whole dmg will be denied. I finished the first dungeon on my second run doing a full block + crit type of build

I love the warlock, some of the summon buffs are insane. Btw orbs can be insane once you get the 2nd row of inverse rotating orbs. Orbs have highest dps in my runs. I'm guessing because once you get where the whole screen is filled with mobs....you have 6 orbs constantly doing damage.

The best part of this game is that there's no bullshit. No loading screens or long winded exposition cutscenes with people talking as slow as they can (I'm looking at you Diablo 4). You just launch the game, and within 5 seconds, you're controlling the swordsman and cutting down skeletons.

Day 2 of recommending: For anyone who sees this and likes Halls of Torment, there's another game much in the same vein done by a solo developer called Spellbook Demonslayers. Very fun game, just started getting more updates recently, I definitely recommend it. The graphics are different than this old school and the music unfortunately gets old quickly but it's a solid game with the same mobbing, tons of abilities, more starting characters, and tons of upgrades and difficulty modifiers.

i've been playing this for a little while and my go to strategy for upgrades is to take whatever is lowest tier and if all are same tier i choose multi > attack speed > range/area > damage > regen > everything else. i think even when something is the weak upgrade for your class you still benefit most from leveling everything. gear is where you build more of a specialty. i also think that the close fast abilities are better for example phantom needles and flame strike but it's good to do runs with everything to unlock the quest objectives.

4:31 orbs is best and should be meta for every build: Build movement speed with orbs and when you unlock inner orbs and the other dungeons you will have a chance at enough skill upgrades to explore other options. When you obtain the amulet that boosts damage up to 50% based on pickup range that go with gloves, youll get a helm that boosts dmg based on enemies ignited that finishes the build. just finish last zone at lvl 98 with this build. Meteors finish it off.
