Do you think it could work on hair loss caused by menopause? That's a natural cause, so can we do something about it? Postpartum hair loss is reversible, you gradually go back to normal, but I feel menopause could be different. Any thoughts?

I see no reason why it wouldn’t help. The hair loss patterns that were created by the DevaCurl products resemble hormonal hair loss - most notably postpartum hair loss in women but some women lost hair in the areas that are associated with male hair loss. I can tell you why, but you have to first trust my theory that what happened with DevaCurl is a result of the plastic bottles leaching chemicals into the product. The chemicals that leach from plastic are endocrine-disrupting chemicals. These chemicals mimic hormones - which is what caused the body to behave in ways that resemble a dramatic change in hormones without blood tests resulting in a drastic hormone fluctuation (the kind that would happen after birth or at the onset of menopause). This is why I believe that if the Vivifying Remedy Spray can aid so quickly in the recovery of DevaCurl hair loss, it can help with menopausal or postpartum hair loss as well. The added kicker for DevaCurl victims is that the chemicals that caused this hair loss reaction also break down the natural protective barrier of the scalp. This is what causes the hypersensitivity that makes using a product like Densifying Remedy or Microstimulating Hair Bath, which aren’t formulated for sensitive scalps, uncomfortable for some or can even cause a mild adverse reaction like bumps. The scalp that has been chemically-damaged is not healthy and so it needs special care. I hope this helps you understand my thought process and beliefs. ❤️

I will add that since the hormone change with menopause is, as you described, more permanent than postpartum - I would assume that you would want to continue using it for as long as you want to maintain the density increase or it could dip again. Whereas, with postpartum or in my situation, chemically-induced hormone mimicking, I would believe that discontinuing use once the hair density goal is achieved would not result in any reversal unless there are still hair loss triggers present.

Thank you Stephanie for sharing all this. It certainly seems worth a try! These products aren't cheap, so I hesitated investing in them without knowing if they had a chance to do anything against a natural process. But your theory makes a lot of sense! As you point out, I'd probably have to keep using it on the long term. How many bottles have you gone through so far? I imagine I'd mainly cover my hairline too, that's where my density seems most affected.

When I was using it daily I went through one in about a month but now one lasts me about 4-5 months using it only once a week.

Your hair is thick and healthy due to pregnancy. When I was pregnant my skin, hair and nails grew beautifully especially when I was pregnant with my sons. That’s what pregnancy does for most women. I loved being pregnant.

Hey Steph Your hair is full & shining just like it used to be! I have stopped using OWay products in the last couple months because it was not moisturizing my hair properly. I still have some thin spots in the back of my head that were not there before the Devacurl damage, so maybe this product will be useful to me. Ok! I’m sorry you couldn’t figure out the right ones for your hair and yes this product can be used by anyone no matter what other products they use, however, chemicals from other products could trigger hair loss or prevent an increase in density so make sure you’re still using clean ingredients and packaging (no plastic) ❤️ good luck!

Hi Stephanie, your hair is looking beautiful and so shiny, and full. I'm so glad you've had great results with Oway products, much deserved after the devacurl trauma. Thankfully, I never used devacurl, but I am experiencing some problems related to menopausal changes. My hair is much thinner than it used to be, duller, and not holding a curl too well. I've been using the stimulating hair bath since January and saw a little improvement with it, I then purchased the vivifying remedy treatment to see if it could speed up my recovery back in the April, and I have seen such an improvement in my density since then. I was also wondering if you still take spirulina and use the bentonite clay mask to detox? Hey after having a chemical treatment from a salon. I'm facing obsene amount of hairloss. My hair were severly damaged. I have seen dermatologists. They are prescribing minoxidil. However, I'm looking for natural remedy. I can see hair growth after 4 months. But continues shedding is also there. It has triggered chronic talogen effluvium. I’m scared to apply my vivifying spray when my hair is wet. My hair is super fragile when wet and breaks off near the scalp (typical male bald spot) where DevaCurl really affected my hair. Still effective if used dry?
