I'm glad to still hear people singing the praise of Get Out. As a black person, this movie was fucking terrifying for the simple reason that it's sadly extremely common for black people to go on trips with their white peers in groups or in pairs and wind up dead and these cases are underreported or have no real follow-up. Just look up the death of Tamla Horsford and you'll see my point considering her death was ruled an accident despite a shit ton of evidence saying otherwise.

In my opinion, for me, the type of movies I consider scary are the ones about being stalked in the open like the cabing in the woods, the blair witch project, the ritual etc. Those kinds of movies are scary because of the feelings of not really being alone alone in the woods and play heavily on that feeling. The conjuring series are pretty scary as well
@katelijnhovestad83822 ай бұрын
honestly the ritual deserved so much better. i was excited for it and i loved the cult and the monster in the ending but ultimately it just ended up being watching a group of guys with a fragile friendship from the perspective of an asshole being fucked with for over an hour. i wish the movie had focussed on moder instead cause that monster saved the movie pretty much.

You liked so many Australian movies! That makes me so happy! Some amazing choices, and the ones I don't agree with I can at least see why you'd like them. This is the 2nd video of yours I've watched, it was randomly recommended. Sometimes YT recommendations are an actual win. Love your stuff!

Yes! I loved the black phone. I went alone to the theater and hadn’t heard anyone’s opinions and was so confused when people didn’t like it.

I loved that in Knock At The Cabin there wasn't some huge weird Shamalan twist. I really appreciated that.

At this point, a Shamalan film not having a twist, is in itself a Shamalan twist.

If you haven’t already definitely go check out evil dead rise. The movie is simple but man the kills in that movie are gnarly and some of the scenes are super creepy, definitely worth a watch.

I hardly ever comment or like videos but you had some of the best takes on horror movies I’ve ever heard, the movies that you said were your favorites that I had seen I completely agreed with and now I have about 15 movies i haven’t seen that I need to watch

Choosing the Visit over the VVitch is insaaaaaane!!! I definitely recommend you take the time to watch it. I personally think it should be enjoyed in the dark in total silence with no distractions. Amazing movie and introduced the horror in tasteful layers
