Somehow feels like "nerd mode on" when attaching this lens to a body like the OM-1. But the results are impressing. Gorgeous pictures Emilie!

You are so lovely, Emillie. Love your presentations. Your macro images are fantastic. Could you tell me again what diffuser you use please. Merry Christmas!

Thank you so much. I use the AK diffuser. Here is a video I made about it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3PSk4yeh8udkM0

Hi Emile, I too use the M.Zuiko 60mm macro lens. I use it with my EM 1 mk2 and get super sharp photos. I am also eagerly awaiting the 90mm macro lens.

Tx for a nice intro to the lens. If I may say however, it is my understanding that "magnification" does not change with sensor size and there is no such thing as magnification equivalency. Field of view does, but magnification remain constant, I.e. the subject that is projected onto the sensor does not increase in size on the smaller sensor compared to FF, it is the same size, but will appear larger relative to the image frame. Semantic perhaps, but important distinction if for example you were to calculate the size of the subject based on the image captured at 1:1 ratio. What is nice though, the subject will have 4x the resolution on a 20Mpix M43 sensor compared to a 120mm f5.6 1:1 Macro lens on 20Mpix FF and what makes M43 such a great macro tool !!
@jamesproctor830113 күн бұрын
Émilie did not say magnification changes. She talked about the ratio of the size of a given object to a MFT sensor size vs a FF sensor size.

I also use the Nikkor 60mm f2.8, but find the zuiko on the new OM1 is so much better. Looking forward to the 90mm f3.5. Thanks for the information.

I made my first steps into macro photography using the Olympus MCON-P02 macro converter. It is more like close up photography than macro photography but still it is a lot of fun (and only €69). I hope the new macro lens will come because your favorite macro lens will hopefully be available for a bargain by then! 😁

Yes, MCON-P02 with 45 1.8 is amazing. Light and cheap.

My favourite Portrait lens is the same as my favourite macro lens - The Sony 90mm f2.8 lens (Also my Laowa 65mm macro is lighter and goes to 2x magnification and comes in Second place for macro)

Awesome Emilie! I have the 30mm macro, which is great. However, the 60mm or to be released 90mm will replace the 30mm. I want to get more details in my photo.

Hi Emilie, I love my 60 mm macro too. But I get confused with the toggle switch for the 1 to 1 switch. Have you done a more educational video on that?

Hi Emilie, thank you for your videos which are always very informative. For me too, the 60 Macro Zuiko is a phenomenal lens. Mounted on my OM-1 it is the ideal travel companion for filming the "little world" but it is also ideal for normal shooting. I am also looking forward to the 90 macro f / 3.5 but ... I think I will not abandon this little gem anyway! Forgive me for my not perfect translation! Until next time. Aldo (from Italy).
@EmilieT2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Aldo. I agree with you, the 60mm macro will always have a place in my bag.

I have just bought the 30mm macro, my first attempts at macro photography, is it worth trying without flash and diffuser to get detail in insects etc?
@EmilieT2 жыл бұрын
Yes start without the flash. If you have a willing subject that doesn’t move too much and is in the shade so you don’t have harsh light you will have plenty of fun!
@tvaughn2 жыл бұрын
Do you use a tripod?
@EmilieT2 жыл бұрын
Rarely. For insects no and for refraction yes. But most of the time when outdoors I do not use a tripod.
