Your makeup looks beautiful! I was using a combo of Trish McEvoy and Chanel brushes for over 20 years. I use under ten brushes everyday. At your recommendation when you first bought it, I bought the Marc Jacobs Foundation 3 brush. I also took the chance on the MJ Face 2 brush at that time. I LOVE BOTH of the MARC JACOBS Face 2 AND 3 for foundation. I am so happy with your recommendation. I replaced all of my old brushes with Sonia G and a couple of Koyouto FuPa brushes (except foundation) around Christmas time. I totally agree with you that you do not have to spend a fortune on good quality effective brushes and do not need a million different brushes to achieve a look. I have spent a fortune on some of the most expensive brushes over the years and was indifferent with most. Personally, I love my few handmade brushes AND I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE MARC JACOB BRUSHES for foundation the best. In my opinion, it really beats out LaMer, Chane, YSL, l Bobby Brown, Dior, Tom Ford, and Guerlain foundation brushes. The Marc Jacobs brushes are soft, quick to apply foundation, no streaks, and best of all, easy to clean! Who could ask for anything more? Thank you for the recommendations and honesty Erin.

I am so happy that I found your channel. You have such excellent videos. You look beautiful. I am loving the blue shadow on you. Thank you for saying that we all don't "need" to buy those expensive brushes. My everyday brushes are Sigma. I have one brush that I must use every single day and I swear by this brush lol. My Smith 230 Quill Crease small brush is hands down my best blending brush that leaves no harsh lines and blends like no other. People complain about how the brush loses its shape after the first wash. My brush arrived with some hairs already sticking out and out of place. I thought that the brush was supposed to look like that because I feel that is the hidden secret with the brush. My shadow always looks great after using it. I sound like a commercial now lol. Great video.

I love the blue eyeshadow!! You did a great job😊. I have as many brushes as you, maybe a little more. I got a little carried away 😂. I cleaned them all the other night and my shoulder was on fire by the time I was done. I don’t clean them anywhere as often as I should for that reason. It takes forever too lol. Excellent video. Bcuz of you, from a week ago or so, I cleaned my brushes. It was time and long overdue. My first set of "luxury" brushes were from Prescriptives. I used to love their custom blend foundation. I was so sad that they went web-based. Anyways, in the recent year, I have massed a collection of IT Brushes that I've purchased from Ulta. I still want to purchase Artis Brushes in Fluenta Oval 7, 6, and 4. My first set of Sonia G Sky Eye set (BeautyLish) will be arriving next week!!!

Hi Erin! I loved this video as I have quite the makeup brush obsession. Do not get rid of your Channel Fluid/Powder foundation brush! I didn’t like it either until I picked up the Les Beiges Water Fresh Tint last year. It’s the perfect firm, compact brush to break up the tiny beads when applying to your face as a lovely, glowy primer before foundation. Keep it! 🥰😍😘

I need to buy a different brush holder. Right now I am using a pretty clear plastic glass filled with rice to hold the brushes in place. I want something like the Sonia G. holder but I don't want to pay the price (180.00, I believe). Dry beans or rice are good to keep things in place and they are biodegradable. I do have the Sonia G. brush set face & eyes and I really like them.

Hello Erin. I LOVE brush reviews. I have three of MJ fondation brush. Love all three. I also have three MJ concealer brushes. Another favorite foundation brush is the Hakuhodo G5553 and the Surratt foundation brush. Oh , the La Mer foundation brush is great. The BK 101 is heavenly Pat McGrath newer brushes are great too. I bought TF new foundation brush 2.5, however I haven't used that one at this time. I know it will be successful because I have TF old brushes and they are fantastic. OMG let me stop rattling, but I love brushes and the KZbin beauty experts as yourself, turn me on to brushes I must try. You turned me on to Sigma brushes. LOL

Chanel fluid brush - you can use it for Les Beiges water fresh teint. The foundation usually comes with a smaller one, but the full size one is better for better grip! Thank you for your video!

Erin , did I miss which brushes are synthetic &/or natural? I’m tired which is why I ask because I probably missed it . Apologies. Sonia G. brushes are stunning especially the face brushes . She really has filled a gap in the market in terms of unique shapes & her handles are true artistry . The Rephr brushes are excellent quality , so soft . I’m impressed with the 2 I have . Your eye-look is stunning ! So flattering . P.S. I have a Lise Watier natural hair brush that I’ve had for at least 25 years . Nothing like a high quality Fude brush ! Worth every penny .

The face brushes are all synthetic, most of the eye brushes are natural, I may have forgotten to mention for a few of them so that's my fault! I need to check out Lise Watier. I really love my Rephr set of brushes but I prefer synthetic hairs for foundation/concealer :) xx

I thoroughly agree. I have Sigma, Sephora, Morphe & a few Brand brushes but I’m with you, you don’t HAVE TO HAVE Japanese handmade brushes to have a nice makeup look. Not that I wouldn’t like them, they just aren’t necessary if you can’t afford them or they aren’t your priority.

I got some Sonia g eye brushes recently and I don’t prefer them to my sigma and Mac brushes. For my makeup application technique, I prefer sigma and Mac. Which I guess is good for my wallet! The customs fee was hefty.

That's good to know! I feel like my Rephr brushes that are natural hairs are really delicate... that's something I forgot to mention. I love them, but I'm so hard on my brushes that it's almost better to have less expensive brushes. My sigma brushes can take the abuse and all the washes without losing as much hair. xx

Erin Nicole TV I haven’t had any shedding yet but I’ve only washed them once (only had them for 6 days). They did change shape quite a bit though. I just don’t think they’re worth the price - it took just as long to blend my eyeshadow and they laid down product differently. I ended up using my Mac and sigma brushes to save the day! Im fine with buying expensive brushes but if they don’t make the application better for you why bother :’) 🙊

Chanel has discontinued all of their natural hair brushes & they’re pulling back what’s left. They went completely synthetic with their new line. If you still have a chance to pick up those double ended brushes you like (I love them), you’re lucky. Sonia’s brushes are crazy expensive but are so amazing. The reason I splurged is because you have to wait for them forever so it’s not like you can get them whenever you want & because everyone’s going synthetic pretty much :((( Your eye makeup is absolutely gorgeous. Blue always compliments your eye color so so well 🧜‍♀️

I like the Rephr brushes, they are natural hairs and less expensive than the Sonia G so I don't feel the need to go that route just yet. I actually prefer synthetic hairs for complexion brushes, but for eyes it's nice to have the super soft natural hairs :) xx

Erin Nicole TV Rephr brushes are amazing; I only have P22 (and more on the way), I love it, such great quality. And the service the company provides is really special. My favorite type of foundation brush has been for a long time a synthetic hair angled brush, like your MJ 2. Isn’t it so convenient:)) the brush collection is really something special because we put so much time, trial and error in it😆 but I still don’t have a decent storage for mine, smth I really need to work on...
