I'm french and litteraly sooo happy for italy because (of course i was rooting for barbara still but Måneskin is soo amazing) they clearly were my favourite of this year's show (with barbara and gjon). I was so surprised when the next morning I woke up and saw those rumors on french news. I was a bit disapointed 'cause like italy deserve the victory a 100% and was scared that it would ruin everything! Italians, just know that most of the french people don't think that at all and we are all very happy for Italy! Even Barbara who was on the news in France the next day said that first of all it's none of her buisness and that Italy deserved it! She wouldn't take the trophy if it was taken off måneskin because it's not her victory. (Sorry for my possible mistakes in English!)

Fan fact: the very latest image is interesting. The man who cheered in front of the television screen is Amadeus, a very very famous Italian presenter. In March Amadeus presented the Sanremo Festival. He was also the artistic director of the Festival. If the Malekin were able to win Sanremo and then the Eurofestival it is also due to him. He is the one who admitted Manekin to the Sanremo Festival with the song "Zitti e Buoni". It was not an easy choice because the songs that are allowed to participate in Sanremo are usually more melodic to meet the tastes of the Italian public (although in recent years things have changed a bit). Amadeus could have suggested to Manekin to sweeten their song to participate in the Sanremo Festival but he didn't. The result was an incredible version of "Zitti e buoni", played totally live with the accompaniment of the live orchestra. The refrain accompanied by the violins is something incredible and unique. The performance at the Eurovision was wonderful, but the performance they did in Sanremo was on another level! The Maneskins themselves have publicly thanked Amadeus for the great opportunity he has given him. Imagine the joy of Amadeus to see them also win the Eurofestival.
