Iyda Michael sadly, it's because she is type 4, like people with type 3 have crap content and have twice the number of followers, which is a shame. I'm type 2/3 but I still follow her because her advice is universal. Hopefully she hits 1M in 2018

I have been using your Aloe Vera Pre-poo on my hair as well as my daughter's hair for quite a few months now and I must say that pre-poo is the TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our hair has never been so moisturized and healthy. Plus my daughter, she's 6 years old now, likes the idea of helping with the plant so she is becoming more interested and hands-on with her hair care routine. So thank you, thank you, thank you. I truly appreciate you and your work on this channel. Stay Blessed!

For all the people who are experiencing flaking with the flax seed gel. Your hair needs to be soaking wet almost dripping when you put it in your hair. Took me years to finally understand it, and now no flaking. I made the mistake of using it like the Eco Styler Gel, where you can put it on dry or wet hair.

hey Whitney! Could you start using that 'i' information thing other youtubers use in the top right corners of their videos? I'm not sure what it's called, sorry about that, but it makes going to your links/ other related videos sooo much easier on smart phones, tablets or computers. Sometimes when the links are just in the description box they don't work on phones. If you agree, please like this comment so Whitney see! So many people use them, if you can think of so youtubers who do, please comment them so she knows what I'm talking about.

I have always had low porosity hair, however, I dyed my hair using a Shea Moisture dye kit and that High Porosity Moisture Masque was included. Hey Whitney!!! Makeup is flawless!!! Trader Joe's tea tree conditioner and shampoo used to work so well for me but for some reason my hair doesn't react the same when using it. But I'm definitely going to try the black soap shampoo, my scalp is so dry and itchy no matter what I use.

MsFredericks hey msfredericks! fyi, the TJTTT formula was slightly tweaked within the last few years, the core conditioning agents were switched (cetyl alcohol to stearalkonium chloride) and the preservative was switched to something a little less controversial (sodium hydroxymethylglycinate to phenoxyethanol). i noticed the consistency is slightly thicker (aka harder to get out the bottle lol). the new conditioning agent has slight surfectant properties, finally making it a bae cowash for me, but the tradeoff - less deposits mean it's a little less moisturizing. I work around this by rinsing out less than I used to, if that's what im going for. HTH! :) @naptural85

Bob's Red Mill Flax Seeds provide the most moisturizing Flax seed gel. They have a higher concentration of fattt acids I think. The gel melts into the hair and moisture lasts for days. When I use other Flax seeds from the bulk section of Whole Foods, my hair is more crunchy and dries out from the gel.

Coconut oil has always been horrible in my hair, but is amazing on my scalp. I stopped using it because it would smell rancid after I worked out a few days in a row, then stopped using oil all together since nothing else could compare. Been using it on my scalp again over aloe vera juice since seeing your 'moisturized juicy hair' vid. Amazing. ...that was long😥

The EXACT rosewater is sold on Amazon for a good price, I bought a pack of three (8 oz bottles each - for $18 right now) a few months ago and I'm still on the first bottle. I pour some in a small spray bottle and use it as toner before my makeup, setting spray after I apply my makeup AND mist it throughout my hair when I feel like it's a little dry sometimes. It's AWESOME and smells great. I have 4B/4C hair and oily/acne prone skin. The aloe vera pre poo is the BOMB.Com, and yes I still say it. LOL I will be trying your DIY African Black soap shampoo. I appreciate you so much and have learned so much from you. God bless.

Hey, lots of good info. I have been hearing about the 50/50 condish and the snot gel. Will give the 50/50, lemon butter, and carols daughter product a try. You are amazing!

Yo Whit! Love the video! For the Shea Moisture, they do have a low porosity line as well, I use that one a lot and it was a game changer for my hair. As for using aloe vera leaf to pre-poo, I should give that a go. I actually scoop out the insides of the aloe and put it in a big bottle with water and drink it daily, but one day I thought to try it for my hair and I swear...after a week my hair was so moisturized.

Hey Whitney! Just starting my natural hair journey and your videos have been SO HELPFUL! So glad to hear that you still use the flax seed gel. I love it! While family uses it, including my Asian husband. Other gels make him breakout but not that! Anywho... as a mom of 3 (3 yo and under) I haven't gotten around to making shampoo. Are there any African soap shampoos that you recommend?

I’m low porosity as well & I agree! I haven’t used it in a while & I’m not sure why I stopped. Unless Shea Moisture did an ingredient change (which they often do) there’s nothing quite like it. Should be a staple for every natural!

I like to use the curls passion fruit/blueberry bliss for twistouts/braidsouts. They really don't stand up to the humidity here to keep my edges down.
