@@KelliMarissa Cristine came out with a new white called Not Milky White if you haven't filmed a video comparing white polish I would love to see it included if you have then I can't wait to see another video from you. Also if you could make a video for yellow or orange nail polishI would be happy because yellow and orange are such hard colors to pick when buying polish because they aren't shown much diversity like blues and reds. Also a video on how you choose a polish, is it based on color, formula, what's new, an idea you have for a video, what factors in your picking of a polish?

Chris R also wanted to mention that I do use gold glitter toppers over dark reds as well you can imagine so pretty!!! You just have to experiment that’s half the fun with nail polishes

@@joanshealy1662 I use glitter toppers as well, but there are so many other toppers out there (not glitters) that can totally change the look of a polish. Something that looks like sheer yellow with pink shift on the naked nail could make black polish look like a glowy iridescent purple. Then on a different base color, look totally different again.

Starilly Vantablack is my fave of all-time. It’s pretty close to perfect IMHO. I had no idea that Salon Perfections was a sister brand of China Glaze, that’s a cool thing to be aware of! Yup, your eyeshadow does look blue, but it looks great. ☺️ I think you should do your favorite white polishes next.

I love the Salon Perfect black! I’ve probably gone through 5-6 bottles of it. Black is my go to color all year round, Glossy or matte, I just love the way it makes my nails look

Lots of Essie’s new cream formulas are one coat now which is awesome. I recently purchased a repromoted “Licorice” with a new formula and new wide flat brush and I can confirm in my opinion it’s now a great one coat black.

Cuticula Licorice is awesome as well. I think it's labeled as a stamping polish, but I've used it for a full manicure and it was great. I found it had better coverage than the China Glaze or OPI, which are never one coaters for me

Gotta mention Painted Polish's Midnight Mischief. It's been voted best black creme, best creme and best stamping polish, by the indie community (IndieSwatch Awards) every year now. Everything from Painted Polish is fantastic, but her black creme is one I definitely can't live without!

You started out with my favorite - SP Oil Slick! Salon Perfect and China Glaze are my favorite brands and the SP Plumping Gel Gel Effect Topcoat (yes, it says Gel 2× on the label lol) is the BEST non-gel topcoat I've ever used. It's quick-dry and it is super durable.

Live Love Polish’s “LBD” is another fantastic black that’s opaque in one coat. I have both LBD and Holo Taco’s One Coat Black, but I usually reach for LBD because the formula is just as smooth as butter and I love it.

Painted Polish Midnight Mischief!! PP has a line of one coat creams that are usually called "Stamped in ___" but I think the black was her first one. Also hope you still do a video on your fave black shimmers or glitters! I guess if there's not a lot, you can group them with silver or something haha.

I love the Holo Taco black! I put it on a couple of days ago and it was so pretty, I almost hated to put a magnetic polish on top (especially one that is no longer performing well). I think the eyeshadow looks gray, but all grays have a bluish undertone so it makes sense it leans that way on the spectrum.

My favorite one-coat black cream polish is Live Love Polish, “Little Black Dress” - it’s perfect in every way - love the rectangular bottle, the brush is great, and the formula is creamy, opaque, and self-leveling. Love it! I haven’t heard you talk about Live Love but their polishes are worth checking out. Specifically, their green glitter polish called Matsu is one of my all time favorites. I think you’d love it!

Oh, man. That’s disappointing!! I can’t speak to their take on nail polish influencers but I feel like they should embrace you... your videos have influenced me to buy a ridiculous number of polishes since I found your channel, haha! Even if they’re terrible, it’s still worth ordering Matsu - it is seriously the crown jewel in my 400 bottle collection and I feel like it would be near the top of your list as well. I hope they’re not turds... I love their polish so much!

I love black 💅 nail polish and the thick brushes. I also love the ice cream bottles. I have a skull black bottle from Hot Topic. Also Hello Kitty bottles. I'm doing my nails 💅 now to relax. I'm getting shoulder surgery, and getting tested for MS Tuesday, then may need a 6th spinal surgery. Polishing my nails takes all my worries away, and your videos cheer me up. I absolutely love Cristine (with no H) but I have a hard time with One Coat Black. No matter how hard I try to float the top coat over the black I always get black on the brush. It's probably just me. My go to is China Glaze Liquid Leather. I had no idea that Salon Perfect and China Glaze are sister brands. I always learn so much from you Kelli. Your whole outfit/makeup ensemble is gorgeous today. You look absolutely amazing.

Yeah I find that happens to me too, I think it's just due to stiffer brushes in the bottles so it's harder to float them!

The majority of my polishes have been OPI until recently. But for some reason Black Onyx and Alpine Snow, which are like the staple black and white, are really tough for me to work with, they just don’t level out nicely when I use them. I like other OPI “whites” but I’m curious to see what your favorites are. Starrily VantaBlack is probably my absolute favorite black one coater and I just ordered their white, hoping the formula is just as good!

Have you seen the new blush lacquers collection (called film noir)? It’s a monochrome spectrum of creme polishes that look really impressive in terms of coverage in the swatch vids. The black looks great, and it is a wide curved brush.

I am absolutely in love with people who can wear all black or all white manicures. I love the look of them so much. But I cannot wear them myself. My goal for 2020 was to wear both at some point this year. So far, not so good. But eventually I’ll get there. I don’t know why I can’t do it. UGH! I was in love with your eye makeup. I love my HT one coat black polish. I will have to try it with some of the new stamping plates I recently picked up! I also picked up Lights Lacquer's new black polish that released today. It claims to be one coat, and I prefer their brush.

Nice to have an overview of good one coat black polishes! Would have been interesting to hear a little bit about drying times of these polishes, to make a decision on which to buy :) (dry to the touch and fully hardened) By the way, I have yet to see a Holo Taco One Coat Black fully swatched. It makes me wonder about the application.. Has anyone else noticed this?

Hey Mariola, I did swatch the Holo Taco black in this video! As far as dry times, it really depends on your locations climate, humidity, and altitude, so it's hard to make a blanket statement about it haha :)

I love Salon Perfect's Oil Slick. I use it as my standard for black polish. I consider it and Holo Taco's One Coat Black to be very close. Edit: I think a lot of grayscale shadows tend to lean toward the cool side of things rather than be just a flat gray. That could be why it's a little blue.
