My Favorite PREMODERN Deck: ALUREN!

Nooo, I was really looking forward to more matches. Im playing a list close to yours and I love the deck. Have you considered one beatdown Survival target, when you dont find aluren and want to go face? Like a singleton Deranged Hermit? Also I added a third Library that world well for consistency.

I considered adding a Hermit or something, but I don't think it's necessary since the beatdown plan is pretty reasonable already and the deck is pretty good at finding Aluren between Birds, Walls and Libraries. I am a Library lover, it's just that the deck needs a critical mass of creatures for Survival to be reliable, and when sideboarding you often end up cutting creatures for spells and end up with problematically low amounts.

How would you pay the U upkeep cost for stasis?

I don't think that would work, you have to pay U for Stasis which is impossible without a Tropical Island. Also I personally don't like adding Root Maze (even though it was great here), and Maze would blank the Ranger anyway.

It would, for whatever reason I thought it was different, but it works just like phasing, and when you skip your draw step things don't phase back in ever again. Pretty hilarious.

Nah, I enjoy playing against it. It's just that decks that I play are often bad against it xD
