Great video. Can't wait for the comparison video with a Nama full recipe juicer. Norwalk went out of business because their juicer cost too much & to time consuming in cleanup. I think this Pure juicer will fail also for the same reason. Sorry, I love my Nama or Champion for much easier clean up.

Depends on the amount of juice, for larger amounts of juice the Pure Juicer is the best. Significantly better juice yield and quality than with vertikal juicer.

I would disagree on the reason why Norwalk went out of business. From my perspective, they had not made any significant improvements in their machine for many years, plus Pure Juicer came along and "made a better mousetrap". On some levels the pure is easier to clean than other juicers. As all the stainless steel parts can be sprayed down and it gets pretty clean, the tray is easy to clean as well, the press cloth can slow down the cleaning, unless you use the bamboo liners. Pure is a company that is here to stay. They are already planning their "top secret" next product that I cant talk about.

@@dopamin_express I would agree that the yield is best on the pure in most cases. In rare exceptions an auger juicer MIGHT be the pure. As to the juice quality, it really depends on the "criteria", and what nutrients you feel are more important as each style juicer will extract more or less of certain nutrients.

I have had my Pure Juicer for over a year now and I haven't tried making this yummy looking banana ice cream yet - but I will certainly be trying this right away - what size/number screen are using with this recipe? Or are you not using one? I didn't catch that part. Thanks John! You're the best!

Whats the best juicer for making coconut cream?

The pure juicer can make coconut cream, and will do an excellent job at it. Plastic juices can break when making coconut cream if you dont remove all the shell fragments (this has happened to my customers in the past) kzbin.info/www/bejne/e6CrkpKmnLhriNU the pure will extract the most cream out of the coconut, and most slow juicers are not 100% efficient.

This juicer is top. Unfortunately not available in Europe under € 4.000.

I had one Norwalk for years however the bags and cloths were hard to clean. It will last 25 years I Bet.

The Pure Cloths are easier to clean than the Norwalk Clothes as they are LOW STICK and high porosity, Pure has done many things to "take norwalk to the next level" and make it more enjoyable experiencing with juicing... AND if you use the bamboo liners, clean up is super easy, just compost the liner and rinse the cloths!

I would love it if it could easily make sugar cane juice. It would be nice if Pure could make that happen somehow and it would definitely make it a must buy, but I don't think you recommend it for that purpose.

I do not recommend juicing sugar cane in the pure. While you can press out cane in the press (Which I have done) it is NOT as efficient as a dedicated sugar cane juicer. Furthermore, grinding cane in the grinder will dull the blade and is not worth it. Get the right machine for the right job :)

Every juicer has its own set of pros and cons. That being said one of the pros of this machine, is that it is built "more like a tank" than the lower cost plastic juicers I use. I am confident it will last many years, as Pure has a very high Quality Control, and this machine is "over" engineered in my opinion. If juicing large quantities, the grinder in this machine can warm up a bit, so I always recommend grinding super cold produce.

@@Witcherworks Friction causes heat in the Pure grinder. If you use it alot, it will warm up. for home serving sizes this is not an issue. If doing commercially, I have seen places have extra grinding sets to replace out when they get too hot- main issue is the sorbet melts quickly and/or use ice packs to keep the cutter cool.
