Wow pretty skirts I am so jelly... and inspired. I can tell you found a silhouette that suits you, and you look so pretty in each of these. I am moving into my own space in a few days and can't wait to pull out my new sewing machine that's not yet been out of it's shipping box (and I bought it a year ago!). Wee wee Marie you like natural fibres and colours available before chemical dyes made super bright and loud colours available. It’s a great way to shop clothing. I have several linen shirts and dresses and they are so comfortable especially when it’s really hot because they...,breath 🙂 After realising that unnatural fibre is similar to wearing clothing made of plastic bags...yeah, I really started replacing my wardrobe with natural fibres and colours. Yay.

I dunno if you've already looked into them, but I've finally just now got around to ordering a made-to-measure reproduction skirt and dress from xiaolizi on etsy--I love that their designs often include pockets and can be made in different colors upon request which I'm willing to shill out the extra bucks for alone but also because my body type tends to be a pain in the ass. I really hope they're as good as the reviews have glow'd on and on about--if they end up being amazing I'm gonna order a full length evening princess coat for the winter!

So I'm going on my first thrifting trip tomorrow and I decided to take a look here to get an idea of what to look for, seeing as the "add a skirt" method is very useful. Thank you for giving me a little guideline! Also... 1: Frodo is so precious, I hope you threw the doodad for him. 2: Your tattoo is lovely. It's simple yet very meaningful and can be modern, but still vintage with the font and story it's referencing. I wish it was easier to find clothes like these in the area where I live, if I want any pretty skirts like yours I have to order them online and since Norway hates their citizens we have a 35 limit for any goods bought from other countries, if you pass it you pay 25 % of total costs in taxes :( By the way, your hair is absolutely gorgeous and your figure suits the style you wear so well! just found your channel and so far am loving it. I have a navy blue version of your mustard yellow skirt with the pockets. a friend just gave it to me as well. I think I've worn it three times since she did. I really love it and when I discovered it had pockets I was like aww yisss lol. I've been wearing it pretty much under my bust because pregnant and that's the smallest part of me that still allows it to zip. I'm also pretty short so it ends up being knee length still even with being 4 and a half months pregnant.

When I was younger, mine used to call me "old fashioned" and "Elizabethan" whenever I pointed out stylish albeit previous era clothes I liked. My father once bought two dresses for me which I liked, but my mother made him send them back because apparently no-one still dressed like that. I was reading some KZbin comments recently, and a user claimed that a lady she was passing in the street rudely told her to start dressing normal for once - normal as in 'morden'. Would it make a difference if she dressed like Miley Cyrus? At the moment I'm in the process of revamping my wardrobe so it consists mainly of 50's and maybe 60's clothes (I'd love to wear 40's, but I'm too fat!). Seriously, as long as you remain classy and ladylike, who bloody cares?

@itsjemmabond @ironic toast People are always going to say rude things no matter how you dress tbh haha, I've gotten rude "Is it Halloween?" comments by strangers, but it doesn't bother me, if they don't appreciate different styles then I don't want to know them anyways. Honestly we're all in "costumes" of some sort, so why not have fun with it and express your personality? :P Life's too short not to dress in a style that makes you feel happy.

Diamond Dahl My mom thinks it's bad to buy old used clothing but I love it! She says I'm going to bring bugs into her house lol. I wash them and everything but she thinks it's a waste of money and that she will gladly buy me new modern unused clothing.

How do you keep your skirt fabric from rolling in on itself??? I wear a skirt and the waist band starts rolling up and looking weird. Also you look adorable.
