Poor grandbaby, best to her! Keep her stitches out of the sun, it helps with scarring. I love ALL these books, thank you for the reviews and sneak peeks! You really bring a well rounded approach to the endless stitching possibilities☺️🪡thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for sharing. I recently found your channel, and I am enjoying all the wonderful content. I love the books that Batsford, the publisher, puts out. I have 4 of these books. And eye candy they are. I have to pull them out and make sure I sit with a cup of tea and just enjoy them.

Sorry to hear about your granddaughters accident. Prayers for quick healing. I have several of these books and others on my wish list. Mandy’s book Textile Collage peeked my interest. Thanks for sharing. Also on my wish list is a rolling book cart. I plan, one day, to sort my books by craft so I can more easily grab what I want. Right now they are piled one on top of another. Have a great weekend. 🫶🏼

Really needed today as my lupus has decided to come out of remission. I am going to get book number 2 with my allowance 🙂 Grateful for you keeping me company in my home studio. x's lj

Judy Martin’s thread project in Slow Stitching book is amazing Geri, I’ve seen it in person. It is huge! It chronicles time stitched each day. She lives in Ontario, as do I. You must look at more of her art work.

Wonderful books! Thank you for doing a flip thru for each. I'm going to order Mandy's first book for sure. The lady who did the "Slow Stitch" book didn't start the movement. It was a guy. I Googled it recently. Very interesting how it has caught on like wildfire world wide! I think there were lots of us ready to slow down and become more mindful of a process we could enjoy.

Hi Jeri. Enjoyed your books review. I've currently got the Cas Holmes one on loan from the library, & it's ideal for leafing through & enjoying the artwork. (I haven't read it all either!) Just reserved the Mandy Patullo books from the library too, on your recommendation. The Batsford books with their pleasingly tactile covers are so well designed. I have way too many craft books, but there are ones I return to again & again, like old friends. It's always disconcerting to walk into someone's home & not see any books or craft projects lying around. What do those people do with their time???!!! Best wishes, Val x

Thanks for reviewing those beautiful books. I purchased one of Mandy’s books and some I have checked out of the library. My library mails books to me if you are over 65. Then you just send it back when you are done. It’s a free program! Love it. Also I thought I saw Claire Wellesley Smith doing an interview on utube. Hope your little granddaughter feels better soon.❤

I have the slow stitch Claire book and often use it to hold my stitch items as I sit on couch. At first the texture did feel weird to me but I have grown used to it. Most will cringe I’m sure when I say this but I do read these kinda books and often underline and asterisk things I like. I never plan on selling the books I love so I often mark in them if something I like (except for pictures…those don’t get touched lol)😂. Sadly though one reason I mark too is my vision isn’t the greatest anymore even with glasses and I had a hard time reading the very fine print in her book. I’m thinking “she must be young” 😂. I’d love to buy the other three now!
