I agree that the Sigma 45mm f2.8 size and weight are a huge plus. It's the perfect lens for a travel setup Sir...Beautiful clicks too

I am NOT a street photographer, but on a recent photo walk hosted by Sigma UK I chose to try the 45mm on my own fpL and loved using it so much that I ordered one that very day. Now, I'm a landscaper who is wedded to his range of zoom lenses (Sigma 16-28 DG DN, Sigma 28-70 DG DN, & Sigma 70-200 DG DN OS Sports) so I'm looking forward to the challenge of just using a Prime lens in the UK landscape. I have the Sigma 35 F2 on my S9 and Love it! I have been thinking of also getting the 45mm F2.8. How do you ghet the silver one? I can't find it anywhere.

@@dacookieman_ for travel I usually take either the 24-70 SIGMA or lately I’ve been taking the lumix 28-200 Although for the last two business trips I’ve been on, I took only the 45mm cause of the size

@@Ansonandco I use the lumix 20-60mm for travel and maybe one prime like a 45 or 50mm. The 20-60mm is a sleeper lens..

i'm currently using the same sigma 45mm f2/8 lens also on my sigma fp and lumix s9, But i just wish they do an even smaller pancake lens for L-mount, it will be even better!!

I go back and forth between the Sigma 45mm and the Leica 40mm. I love the tiniest of the Leica 40mm but like you said sometimes you want autofocus. I'm still trying to discover the best compact lens to go with the Sigma FP. I have been looking at the Panasonic Lumix S 26mm f/8 or the 7artisans Photoelectric 35mm f/5.6. Any thoughts? Or, other lenses (even vintage lenses) to think about?

I have both the 7artisans and the lumix. They are fantastic. Between the two i would go lumix. That said this lens would still be my recommendation if AF is a desire, it’s possibly the smallest AF lens on the market for L mount. That said, I would keep your eye out for when lumix drops their pancake kit lens, it may be smaller than the 45mm and has AF

I probably lean to the Sigma 24-70mm for versatility but this form factor is REAL nice - unfortunately you tug at my heart strings with the silver model or as I like to call it the "Anson-Only" model - dang that metal looks sweet bro!

You know I’m here for it though. There is one shot where there is some halation on the lights, I don’t have a mist on there, so i don’t need to have a mist filter on the lens, like I do all my other lenses.
