Oh man, it’s been a while since I have used an s5. But it is a new sensor and so there is definitely going to be differences. AND the iix has more codecs for color accuracy and richness

One of the camera operators on the team uses the LUMIX, rock solid camera, especially if you know what you are doing (lighting).

If you have davinci resolve yes. You would have to apply the cube file on a clip and then save that grade as a VLT file

2:22 you have ProRes even if you don’t connect an SSD in the S5II X It is 1080p but you can record on the SD cards. If your output is for social media shorts - 1080p enough for content viewed in a smartphone.

I'm a hobbyist. The S5 II X is my first serious camera, and even though it's a bit too big and heavy, I don't regret buying it because it allows so much!

I think he means working videographers working corporate, social and maybe light documentary, if you bring to the table cinematography I guess you mean high budget documentary, commercials, cinema, etc. I think his footage shows what he is talking about.

I'm sure you've mentioned it in previous videos.... But would you choose this camera over the Sigma FP?? I know you use that one consistently as well.

i would use them in very different situations. if i am doing a narrative film, or any type of beauty work,i would choose the fp as i prefer what it does for skin tones. but if i am doing more corporate, or run and gun type video i would choose the s5iix. i definitely love having both in my arsenal. Case in point, the talking portion of this video is the fp and the product shots are the s5iix, and of course all the examples are the s5iix.

@@sgagic right now it’s listed for around $1900. There are definitely some good rig options from small rig and rigid pro. For weddings I would go with a 24-70mm f2.8 and 70-200mm f2.8

Sigma FP mk2 will need to be a 8k low light global super-35mm sensor shooting in 16bit RAW or Proress HQ in various frame rates such as Stop motion, Time laps, 18, 24, 25, 30 and 48fps and 60p If the spec was that it would be world domination for Sigma!!! So we wonder for the Sony FX3 Ummm.

i know this video is 2 years old. but i heard that u cant use elzone or false color on sigma fp when conner record braw on VA . when u push the elzone shortcut button the meter will not show up

@ I would use the false color on the BMVA and not push the exposure beyond its indicators. You may lose some dynamic range, but it worked for me

Thanks! I typically shoot with a the 35mm f1.4 or 24mm f1.4 from Sigma. Or 50 f1.4 if I want a tighter shot. I honestly try to say things in a bullet point manner and cut out everything that isn’t crucial in post. No script, just bullet point outline

Ok so I just ordered one with the 20-60mm kit lens and the prime 50mm lens which came as a bundle but wasn't sure if this is enough to start my KZbin/social media plus photography career. Should I add another necessary lens? I just wanna have some do it all lenses since I don't wanna buy too many(expensive haha) so does anyone have other recommendations for a lens I should buy?

Had lots of fun over the weekend trying the hybrid zoom in my garden with my Sigma 100-400 on the 2x adapter… a 2500mm zoom! 🤯 With boosted stabilisation it was actually quite steady if leaning against a tree or on the my lap.

Both are excellent. I’ve tested the mkii but still use the mki. And no special settings other than how I have the camera set up as usual
