I'm always finding things for my wife to use in her practice: large cast iron cauldrons, railroad spikes, silver candleholders shaped like a floating lily flower, hand-carved book holders, and a few antique containers - one of which had her maiden name and year of birth on. We are always going to markets to see what we can find.

I just had to come back here because right after watching your video, I happened across a post in the marketplace for a cobalt blue crystal ball and vintage brass stand! The brass stand consists of three koi fish tail up holding a cobalt blue Glass ball with bubbles inside the glass. Words alone cannot express the beauty of this and I am just ecstatic to have run across this. The owner bought it in an antique shop; it was to be used as part of props for a Halloween House contest last October in the Irvington neighborhood, in Indianapolis. Since they no longer had any use for it, they posted it and I happened to run across it 2 hours later quite by accident! I had just recently bought my daughter an Onyx sphere and brass stand, and had silently wished I could find one for myself. The 0racles heard and granted my wish! And cobalt glass is HUGE in my life. Namaste!

Yes yes yes, love this video. 💚 I much prefer the loved and worn-in feel of antique and secondhand items, it feels so much better than the raw, fresh, almost painful feeling of something new. I really enjoy thrifting and antiquing, being on the lookout for a hidden treasure, and I've often eyed some of the items in your videos wondering about their stories. It's hard to pick favorites, but some of my beloved finds include my own tiny cauldron, a few small cabinets that I keep my tinctures in, many an interesting basket, and a set of blue-and-white ceramic measuring cups with a heart in the handle that I got specifically for making medicine and healing food. I would love for this to become a little series. Some of my favorite things of yours that pop up in your videos are your various ceramic bowls and cups. All the little hand painted mugs and bowls with unique shapes and spouts. They have such a great feel to them and I would love to know a little more about their origin, their journey, and how they found their way into your home.

I thrift just about everything. Candles and holders and little oil lamps. brass and cast iron cauldrons, crystals and holders, statues and idols, shells and windchimes. Offering bowls and cups. I've even found two tarot decks, unopened, with the books for them. My faviorate is a crystal ball and stand, simalar to yours in size but the ball is a globe of the earth. and a whole collection of stone and wooden eggs just in time for all the spring festivities this year. A majority of my altar set up is thrifted items. I think most of my house is done in boho shabby thrifted sheek

Like you I so adore the thrill of walking through an old barn, antique shoppe or thrift store. I never have an agenda and I never know what treasures I will find. It's akin to walking on the seashore and finding a perfectly smooth rock or a seashell gem and if your lucky some sea glass will shine thru the sand at just the right time. I was just browsing Pinterest and after watching this video put in a search for small cast iron cauldrons. My Oh My they are so cute in all their shapes and sizes. I am sorry you have been sick Annie 😟I really hope you are feeling better. I loved this video 🥰 one of my favorite things to do is thrifting for Witchy things. I just love all your finds. Many times i wondered where you found that crystal ball. Your Mom is so nice 😊you are really Blessed to have a Mom like that. I found two copper cauldrons in a thrift shop one small and one a little bigger. Kind of like you but mine were copper 😊I have found lots of really cool cast iron candle holders. Lots of great candles, little pottery bowls. I have never found a deck of Tarot cards though. I am still looking lol. I have been meaning to mention that your haunted table you bought looks like it may have come out of a Catholic Church. Glad you and Olivia were able to get rid of whatever came along with it. I once bought an evil eye bracelet that came along with something really bad feeling. Every time i put it on i felt awful so i would take it off and i would feel fine. It was really strange seeing as it was an evil eye and all. It felt like someone put a curse on it. It took me a few tries before ridding it of whatever evil was on it. Scary stuff ! Anyway, I love you so much and hope you start feeling great again ! XOXOXO💚💚

The background sounds of your videos are familiar to anyone who owns (or has owned, or has lived with) dogs... so it's kinda nice to hear. Back when my family was in Europe, I picked up a collection of resin gargoyles(!) for a pittance at a flea market. They're scattered around my house, and there are a couple that I've identified as being copies of actual gargoyles on Notre Dame cathedral. Most of my other collections are interesting rocks, sticks, or feathers I found on the ground... :-)

I have been very lucky. I have found quite a few witchcraft books, some candle sticks and a deck of Steampunk tarot cards in the box --with all cards and book, a gorgeous hand blown wine glass in burgundy and purple to use as my chalice (in a pair, in case I break one!), a lot of beautiful carved wooden boxes to keep my tarot cards herbs, incense, and other smalls. I love looking to see what I can re-purpose for my witchy needs!

I only have a few pieces I managed to find at thrift places, the area I am in is one where quality second hand is found at antique stores which are more money than true thrift stores or new. But when I have time I always peek through, you never know what will stand out. My favorite is a silver metal dish/basket thing that I use to hold my smoke bundle and a little antique silver owl that turned out to be one half of a salt and pepper shaker. I repainted it's eyes and now its a beautiful blind owl figure for my ancestor altar (my great grandmother collected owls according to my mom).

🌲🍀🐾 a very good point to warn everyone about, thanks. 🐾🍀🌲.
@BelindaTN2 жыл бұрын
good point. This same warning can be applied to any cast iron. Many old cast iron cooking pans and pots have been used for many things that would be toxic to ingest or inhale. Also some years ago it was popular to decorate homes with old cast iron. Since they were being used as decore, they were often painted black. So some old cast iron has has been painted as well as used for all kinds of things outside the kitchen. I cook with cast iron skillets, but they either came to me new or I got them from people that i knew only used them for cooking. Like my mother, grandmother and other women that used them for cooking. So I know the history of my antique cast iron.

Wow, I absolutely LOVE seeing the things people find at thrift stores, antique malls, etc! Please show us more! I'm new to the Craft, but so far my two favorite finds at an estate sale were a brass bell and a really neat glass pitcher with an insert for ice...but I use it to make gem elixirs. The insert is perfect for crystals and herbs to infuse their energy into the water without actually being IN the water.
