I need help. I have been feeling the pull of nature for many many years but always shyed away from witchcraft because I was led to believe it was all devil. I am going to follow my heart and learn more. The help I am asking for is to help my daughter she is very nervous about her upcoming wedding and losing her identity.

One of our favorite herbs, probably THE favorite, for protection and bringing lively energy into the house is cinnamon. Love, love, love cinnamon! Clove is wonderful too. They're very strong and powerful. We recently bought a petunia plant and I can already feel the protective properties that it brings to our porch. We didn't even know it had protective properties when I bought it. We just told my husband we can FEEL it. The same goes for the calm and happy, almost playful feeling we get from our new double impatiens. The two of them together on our porch are very different, but they work great together... and the bees appreciate it. We have been practicing feeling the energies of the plants around us, then looking up the magical properties to see how accurate we are according to what other sources say. Most of the time, we're pretty close. Sometimes, not so much. But the beauty of magic is that we don't all perceive energies or anything else in the world the same as the next person. If something brings you calming feelings, it really doesn't matter that other sources say it's "not used for that." Each person has their own connection with the world. We use our own intuition along with what we learn and try to find a balance.

That bulb of garlic advice reminded me of the bunches of dried garlic plants braided together hanging at my granny's and my mom's kitchens, so the bulbs could be just plucked from there when needed and they had some space to air. We did that with spicy paprika/chili as well, it gave a really nice spot of colour to the place.

I was thinking, can you just bury the garlic and let it grow after its absorbed all the negativity? I know that mother earth heals the negative energy and turns it into healing, loving, positive energy, so that way you can still use the garlic by planting it and not throwing it out. I remember reading that if you plant garlic in all 4 corners of your home, it protects your home and you can make a ward or grid to create a shield around your home.

Look around hospitals for local florists. Sometimes they have local bunches, even if they don't advertise them, and a few places will order them for you, and that's not nearly as expensive as you think. You'll end up paying a little more than you would at a grocery store florist, but not by much. I get mine from the farmer's markets, but I HATE getting up that early, ha.

Oh wow!! Is there a possibility that our garlic on our counters has been absorbing bad energies and we've just been taking it back in when we eat it?! I swear sometimes we're cooking and we shy away from using the garlic on the counter. We'll go for the pre-minced in the fridge, even when we're in a cooking mood and already dicing other vegetables. We have a mincer! And yet, for some reason, sometimes we just let the garlic go to sprouting. However, we feel better using the garlic from under the counter that we keep with the onions. 😲It just makes too much sense! We have a LOT of negative energy in this house, and we're determined to give it a full cleanse. Thank you for that advice. I think we'll try leaving a bulb out and burying it far away from the home. It's worth a try.

Instead of garlic or onion use a whole lemon. If it turns black then it has absorbed negative energy and you can dispose of it. Otherwise it will dry out and you can keep in forever. It will continue to cleanse the space.

Your videos are always a work of art, Annie. You are truly magical. I’d love more hearth based tips from you! In this season of life, where a lot of my day to day revolves around taking care of my family and minding my home, hearth witchcraft is so important for me. It’s the easiest way to keep my practice alive and my soul grounded. An important part of my practice that would really fit in nicely in yours too (you might already do it!) is to use herbal infusions to write sigils on walls, doors and windows. It’s wonderful for protection, and for evoking different energies into the space. Because I have a young child and a baby I work exclusively with soft energies like happiness, calm and safety, but it’s very useful for energies with more oomph too! Love from Sweden 🇸🇪

This is kind of herb based but when I feel the need to cleanse my room or house energy because maybe my boyfriend and I got in a fight or there just been a lot of stress lately and I can’t use smoke I’ll put small dishes of salt under my bed and around my room and I’ll add some herbs to it like rosemary to help with the cleansing.

Could I ask how you get around harvesting/taking out plants when (I personally) can't ask permission? I want too but I can't communicate with them and I also worry if I'm like 'hey could I use this leaf pls' and what if they're like 'no 🙃' like ma'am I need that? It's a really stupid problem but one I don't know what to do about 😂 and taking out plants because I need that space feels so mean 😅
@Kira_Martel
@Kira_Martel 2 жыл бұрын
You *can* communicate with them! 💚 It may be a learned skill, but plant communication is also our birthright as humans. Our brains evolved alongside them and we can all tap into this form of communication given practice and the right guidance. For example, if you ask to use a leaf and the plant says no, there may be a reason. It may need that particular leaf for photosynthesis, or it may be the home of a small insect, or even have been peed on by a hummingbird! Try asking about a different leaf, or even seeing if you can 'feel' the plant directing you toward the best leaf. I'll often introduce myself to the plant and tell it why I'm looking to gather some of it that day, then ask if it would be okay with that, and which parts it feels are the best for me to use. Most importantly, I always try to receive what I gather as a gift, rather than 'getting' or 'taking' it, then thank the plant for what it has given me. As for taking out or moving plants, I totally relate. When it feels bad, I let them know that I'm sorry I have to move them, it's nothing personal, but that we need the space for something else. If I can't relocate them elsewhere, I thank them for their life and all the good work they did for the earth and all the creatures while it was there in that place. If practical, I will try to make something from the plant material so that nothing goes to waste. 🌱

Hi Annie! Your video is a bit unrelated but your coffee promo reminded me of it. Have you ever studied/tried veganism before? I have recently come across it myself and I could not believe the extent of negative environmental impact that animal agriculture (including dairy and whatnot) has, and how going for a plant-based diet can severely help not only health but the environment and the animals. As a green witch that is very earth-oriented, I figure if you didn't know about these environmental things, perhaps you'd want to know about it. What the health, dominion, cowspiracy, seaspiracy, and milked are some documentaries I watched for some information. Love your videos as usual, and thank you! 🥰 I also appreciate you for reading this comment!

There's an idea I've been kicking around for a while now and I'd like your opinion, or a how to if you've done this before. I'm a budding new witch, and I've been absolutely enchanted by sigil magic. Essentially, I was wondering if you can make your own herbal inks to add an extra umph to the spell? I know that you can scent ink with essential oil, but I was leaning more towards making inks from the plants themselves. Any ideas are greatly appreciated. -Blessed be )o(.

I have a random question about the garlic. If I bought garlic with the intention to use it in my cooking, would I need to differentiate where I put it so that it doesn't also absorb negative energy? Is there anything you do with cooking ingredients to cleanse them before cooking? Sorry, that was probably a loaded question! Thanks for the video! :)
@TheGreenWitch
@TheGreenWitch 2 жыл бұрын
That's a great question! Often with magick it is more about the intention than the ingredient itself. Many herbs have all sorts of different uses but when we work with them in practice we are usually only working with one property of them and this is dictated by the intention we place into or with them. So in this instance if your intent is to use the garlic in cooking then that is its purpose and that is how it will serve but if your intent is for it to absorb negative energy then that is its purpose and that's how it will function. There could be some minor instances of the garlic you keep for cooking absorbing some negative energy but I personally find that if it is not intended for that purpose the energy it absorbs is so minor it's no worry
