SHINee's "Married to the Music" was released in 2015 and it's supposed to be fun and upbeat, because they are "Married to the Music" The MV has a very "Rocky Horror Picture Show" vibe, and it's just about as iconic of a cult classic as that movie as well. As others have probably mentioned, In the MV the girl in the wedding dress was collecting the best body parts from each of the members to create her ideal man. She burned Minho's head because what she wanted was his body. She used fire because Minho's nickname is "Flaming Charisma" because of his passion for sports and his need to always win. Minho has the best body of the group so, she took Minho's body, Key's head, Onew's nose, Taemin's eyes and Jonghyun's lips (for obvious reasons. LOL). Then at the end she spliced them all together and formed her perfect guy. If you notice, in the end credits you see a person that has been created from all of the members' body parts which is supposed to be the guy the girl created. In other words, music is a very fickle girl and she controls your life by picking and choosing the best parts and mashes them together to create the perfect song. LOL. Their outfits and hair are supposed to look like they are dressed for a retro Halloween party. If you want to see the choreography better you should watch the performance version MV or a live comeback stage, and if you do, you might notice their bow ties look like bats and their hats have witches fingers, etc. It's supposed to have that fun, campy horror/comedy look and feel. "Married to the Music" is considered a Halloween must watch within the fandom and most of us make this MV part of our Halloween tradition every year. However, this song and MV came out in August, nowhere near Halloween. Halloween isn't really a big deal in Korea and it has only been in the last few years that Koreans have started to celebrate Halloween by holding costume parties. Halloween in Korea is pretty much a western culture transplant. But, the middle of summer is horror season in Korea. Koreans say they like to watch scary movies and shows in the summer because it gives them chills which cools them down when it is hot. So, that's probably why they came up with this concept for "Married to the Music" as an August comeback theme. SHINee is known as one of the very first groups to ever dress up in full costume for Halloween. They first did it for a fan meeting. Which gave Lee SooMan (the founder of SM) the idea to hold a costume party. Now SM is known for holding one of the largest costume parties every year. As part of the party there is a costume contest and the person with the best costume wins an all expenses paid vacation trip. Key is very competitive when it comes to fashion, costumes included, and the last time he attended the Halloween party he won. He came as Voldemort from Harry Potter. @@elea45hinee57 Yes, that is their repackaged album which is their partner album ot 1 of 1, however you don't very often consider a repackaged album a separate album, it's usually considered part of the original album, because they include some of the same songs. "Tell Me What to Do" would be the equivalent of "Atlantis" with SHINee's Don't Call Me album. :D

fun fact : nobody really dares to cover SHINee's dance. It's either sloppy or just look weird. SHINee choreos always have different level of intricacies. I've never seen any cover that do SHINee's choreographies justice and yes, 1of1 is madly underappreciated. They went really hard with the retro and 80s vibe, not only the mv (the greenscreen, outfits etc) even the album was produced in casette tape too. It's an iconic comeback but I hardly see people mention them or remember this song whenever it comes to "retro" concept

I looove the mv for Married to the Music so much! It's actually one of my all time favorite kpop mv's, because it's so weird and because I love the story. The bride is the music and the members losing body parts to her symbolizes what the members sacrificed to the music to get where they are now. At the end you see the combination of what all the members gave up and what it resulted in: SHINee together. I love the song as well, I think it's quite underrated.
