Voodoo Labs are some of the greatest pedals of all time!! On the Giggity pedal, there's the secret "in-between" drive settings on the 4 different positions, try it!! In the 4th "and 1/2" position, turn down the air knob, and crank up the body knob. Instant Eric Johnson!!

I've debated snagging on one of these for a few years now. Thanks for running it down for us!! Cheers!!

Do it! This thing w/ single coils is amazing 🤩

IMO their Sparkle Drive pedal is arguably the best TS OD alternative ever made with its built-in clean signal boost. On an already overdriven amp it’s amazing. Cheers. Nice demo!

This brick is subtle, but powerful. It just makes your guitar(and pedals) sound GOOD. Just learning how to use mine... It's my Special Sauce pedal now, #3 in the pedal chain where it's right at home.

james santiagos original voodoo labs youtube channel explains this pedal perfectly...and he should know.

He should, he does and his video was very good! The Eric Johnson tones were what made me most curious to try this pedal in the first place.

Does this pedal look good pushing another pedal or an amplifier??
@SeanPierceJohnson5 ай бұрын
@@danieljbdj it looks good no matter what it does 😉 haha I’m guessing you mean “sound” not “look”. Quite a few of these example added some push to the amp I was using. It can definitely provide boost and “drive”. However, my preferred use is to have the Giggity as an always-on, foundational tool.

I also use it all the time on as the last pedal and other drive pedals before it

By the hundreds of OD pedals this pedal is relatively weak. In fact videos that feature it I think kill the sales. your video has done both the players and Voodoo a BIG favor. It is 11 years old so it comes at no surprise. I think it would be better replaced by a clean boost or alternatively just put the problem solvers out as their own pedal. In my mind it is like a Ford F150 being sold as a Ferrari. As a a sports car it sucks, but as a pickup it is killer.

Definitely think you’re on the right track with the analogy. It CAN do drive sounds but it’s not a tube screamer, OCD, or Klon. If you go into expecting one thing…you won’t get it.

I think the entire guitar community has some confusion on what an overdrive is or what a boost is and how many people use them interchangeably. Lots of people seem to bundle a Marshall Bluesbreaker with a Tube screamer and sure they both will distort the signal they're generally used for different purposes. I don't have a fix but it seems to cause a lot of mix ups
