I'm into affordable, meaning cheap. I avoid a hardcover whenever possible, but cost is a definite consideration for me so, before I make the commitment to buy another Bible, the first thing I do is spend time thinking about what I plan to use that Bible for. It may take me days or even weeks before I actually commit to buying a Bible, and there are times I have talked myself out of it! I also prefer a two column format which is less likely to have a nice amount of margin to use. I also write small, but not always as legible as it once was because I'm old with arthritic hands. When I was a baby Christian, I used to use a number two pencil and a yellow highlighter! Oddly, back in the 80s and early 90s, the yellow highlighter didn't bleed through or even show through too much! But I only bought two Bibles back then and they were not only cheap, but probably because of the cost the paper wasn't as delicate as the expensive Bibles. Truthfully, I didn't even know there were Study Bibles available either! My library of Bibles may be the cheap ones, but I love them all. And since I haven't spent a fortune on a single Bible, I can afford more of them!

It's not about the price of the Bible that's important it's all about you actually using it and loving it... outside of that nothing else matters.

Hey I have a few "table Bibles" or desktop size Bibles, 🙂 too! Big, heavy, but useful Bibles. To carry around with me the personal sizes are always the best. I love darker fonts if I cannot find the larger font Bibles. Anything that is easier to read is always a plus. Love your advice, and do take care! ☺

I have had on my bookshelf a pretty hardback version of the THRIVE bible but haven't yet used it. Perhaps when I've completed my notetaking in my JESUS bible, I will utilize the THRIVE next. I was just thinking about using this bible yesterday; so, I am taking this as perhaps another confirmation to use this bible after my JESUS bible is filled up. (I have gone through two She Reads Truth bibles - I love that bible!) Good video, Cat!

You can type up Bible collection cat woods but I'll share one here there are others too 😉 the others ones I don't have several of those Bibles any more. I've donated them or gifted them away to friends family and several single mothers also church's & woman shelters 🫶🏻📚

I don’t like writing in my bibles because I don’t want to mess up the pages in my bibles. I’d rather take notes on my phone or in an actual notebook.

A messy Bible that is falling apart means the reader is not. Always remember that. You can't take the Bibles with you when you die. Sooooo what's the big deal 🤔 don't idolize the Bible so such that it becomes your god. Because God sent it to as a tool to help us draw closer to Him. Having my Bible on my phone or notes we make me think I'm not putting God Word above all else. But we are all not all designed the same and we haven't walked a mile in each other shoes so just because what we do in our Bible time doesn't mean one of us in doing it right and the other isn't. Nope He created us all different for a reason. Praise the Lord 🙌🏻🫶🏻👏🏻

@ my Bible isn’t written in, but I definitely use them a lot. A Bible without written notes in it doesn’t mean that the person isn’t using it. I have many bibles, so I use them at different times and they stay looking brand new. Lol

If you watched any of my videos you will understand I have several clean Bibles that I only read from no pen will ever touch them. But I'm not wrong in any way because I choose to mark in some of them especially my Wide Margin which they are literally designed for that particular purpose 👍🏻
